Had a pretty good day today. Decided to go in the vault and open a new bottle. I picked this one because it is starting to disappear from shelves around me. The time is now or never for a backup if I like it. Bulleit Blender Select #1.

It's not great, but it is good. I like it. I'm drinking it neat and I could drink a whole lot more. It's a blend of nine-year-old bourbons. You can taste a bit of that age. Zero harshness or astringency in this as well. Definitely better than average. I forget what I paid, it wasn't much, but this is a really good value I'd say.

And that's the "neck pour" from less than five minutes after having opened the bottle. If this gets "better as it opens up", I will definitely get a backup or two.
