Uh huh....I won't be, but I could be drunk in a bathrobe all day and nobody would know any different.
I saw an ECBP A122 today and passed. I think I might pick one up though

ALBERTA REVIEW!
I "LOVED" this one.................until I had the 1920. Then I tired going back to the 1897 bib and felt that it was kind of "meh". I still liked it, I just wanted more from it if that makes sense.
Love stuff.
Interesting will need to check that out. Thanks for the recommendation.A great 1920 challenger is Belle Meade reserve (108.3 proof, $65).
They actually come in the same bottle, just different labels.
Plenty of days belle meade beats 1920 for me, but both are certainly complex and tasty.

$85 sounds like a lot, but if you consider what it is (12 year age-stated, uncut, unfiltered, barrel proof bourbon from a major producer) it's still a good buy that releases in three batches per year. Not to make $85 sound like no big deal or anything. Just food for thoughtI'll look for it locally. The 1920 is 65 bucks here. Its now cheaper than the ECBP (not as good). The only place I can find the ECBP at is a local gas station/liquor store. They raised their prices to 85 bucks a bottle. I've been passing on it.

i've tried 5 different belle meades and i cant get into them (sour mash, XO, Madeira, Sherry, and SiB). I brought them all to Kevin's meetup last year and left them there. just not my thing
Belle Meade Reserve is one of my favorite daily drinkers. Classic flavor at a great proof point. Highly recommend.A great 1920 challenger is Belle Meade reserve (108.3 proof, $65).

Totally fair. I have an admittedly arbitrary cutoff at $75. Over that price, and it needs to be something I've either tried personally, been part of the single barrel selection team, or one of the folks I really trust needs to recommend it personally because they know my palate.I agree. Its one of my favorites. A budget is a budget lol.

This stems from Booker's continually upping their price year after year. Once it rose above $75 I swore I'd stop paying for it...and that sort of became my cutoff. Not that I don't buy bottles that cost more than that, but it's a budget of sorts.
Need some validation on this, there's so many Barrel batches it's hard to keep straight.Just heard a rumor that Barrell Spirits 7-8 year old store picks are Willett juice...heading to Total Wine now!
I agree. But if we can determine which is which, oh man. Happy day for usNeed some validation on this, there's so many Barrel batches it's hard to keep straight.
