I recall making an old fashioned with a $500 bottle of Whistle Pig Boss Hog VIII once, lol. FOR SCIENCE!

Since I'm a crazy ass mofo fo-sho, here ya go: The Seagrass Old Fashioned bro bros...

3oz Seagrass
1/4oz Demarara
1 splash of Angostura
2 Fabbri Amarena cherries
It was chilled in the freezer....no ice, no melt!

Whiskey Madness head to heads

C9 v C8

C9 - nose: minty, sweet, fruity
pallet: gum drops, oak, tastes good but not much of a finish, i think this is a low proof rye. would love to try this in cask strength

C8 - proof on the nose, dark chocolate
pallet: brown sugar, woody finish, good mouth feel, medium easy finish, seems to have some age.

Winner: C8

D10 v D9

D10 - Nose: vanilla, caramel
pallet; oaky, spice on middle, medium finish, goes down easy, tastes aged.

D9: nose: earthy, cinnamon
pallet: peanut, citrus on finish, medium finish, bright bitter finish, tastes younger.

These 2 felt about the same proof, maybe both BiB

Winner: D10

D8 v D7

D8 - Nose: proof, vanilla, caramel, heavenly I could nose this all day
Pallet: cinnamon, oaky, caramel, great mouth feel, long finish

D7 - Nose: Grainy, some citrus
Pallet: little bit of spice on backend, easy drinker, no burn but no finish. Low proof.

Winner by 1 punch knockout D8

DAMNIT I WISH I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

god i wish. would save me a ton of money in the long run if that is all I had to buy.
Preach on brother. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy some MM 101, WT Rare Breed, some ECBP, some Alberta CS Rye, maybe some Seagrass, and be done.

Ok, no notes because they were sooo similar. Wife said I nailed it initially, before I second guessed myself. Mixed up last and 2nd place after 20 strong minutes of being correct, lol

Last place: 1. Poor Mans Pappy
2nd place 3: Weller 107
1st place: Pappy 15

So adding w12 to OWA makes it worse. Noted
