Lot of snobbery about whisky drinking. Just do whatever and see what tastes best for you.

If you go to the Ben Nevis in Glasgow you get pelters if you drink your whisky straight or with ice. The barman stares at you until you reach for the wee jug of water and add a splash.

I remember being in there when some Canadian / American / Mexican (I don’t know which, you all sound the same to me ) asked for a can of 7up with there’s. The barman nearly had an aneurism

I still can't believe that @CraigT78 sponsored a bottle of bourbon from Texas. I drank it in your name!!! (while losing my ass off, I wonder if there is a coorelation to the bourbon and losing..................nah!)

Yeah I can't believe they don't sell this or Gold in the US. Guess we'd drink it up too fast. Berlin was the only place I have found SFTB on a shelf, but I haven't been that many places that could sell it.

i landed in Washington DC and they had at least 6 bottles at the duty free shop. As I wasn’t traveling internationally, no sale to me
