Wow, that is an amazing little hallway lead in. I imagine that was custom built into that closet, I dig it!
yes, it was. we designed the house with the poker set up in mind. It passes between the dining area and the poker room so the bar/closet can be accessible from both.

@Mrs Poker Zombie 's brother brought a gift for her birthday.

Needless to say, the bottle is no longer that full.

My wife is British. Every time we go over I specifically buy bottles that cost a king’s ransom over here, but that are reasonable over there. Mostly (and thankfully, since it is a favorite), that has meant Oban. £31 at Heathrow on offer. At least $75-95 here. Last time, it was the Longrow 18. £70. Ungodly here.

Lol part: I buy 2-3 bottles per trip to the in-laws, but only manage to drink (at best) a couple in between. Upshot is I have 40-50 unopened now.

Sounds like I have my partner for the transatlantic whisky smuggling ring. You start digging from your end and we’ll meet in the middle!!

Between your TRK collection and you whisky collection, you're just a hot-dog roller away from hosting a meet-up. o_O

I have had a hard time scoring Blanton’s lately so I have been buying this. It’s made in Texas and it’s pretty damn good. About $20 more than Blanton’s though and it’s not even a single barrel. :(

We tried three of their bottlings at Ocho in San Antonio last year during the meatup, and were unimpressed. And they were quite expensive.

Ymmv, of course.
