Chocolate milk.

I love that folks who drink Bud and folks who drink Readbreast 21 and other nice whiskeys can play together nicely.
This group is some guys in their late 50s and one at the table who is 23.

And guys who have had a different path in life so even what we’d call a decent bottle can be a stretch.

Both very good bottles. And you call yourself a beginner!
A beginner who dove right in head first. Also, a beginner who takes directions from experts and those more experienced than I am. It also helps to have a son who is a bar manager and a whiskey aficionado.

OK, let's get this neck pour out of the way! :ROFLMAO:

New to me fresh open. It is Fryeday.
That is the least anything whiskey I've ever had. No heat, no pallet, no finish. That could be drank like a beer and then you die. Least complex whiskey I've ever had. Someone out there thinks that's the bomb.

Edit: no wonder it is everywhere here in the bourbon wasteland that is Indiana.

I feel that way with most Michter’s I’ve had, even the limited stuff. It doesn’t do much for me. I did try the 10yr bourbon last weekend and it was pretty good.

It would take more than wind chill to keep me away from BTACs. I just crunched the numbers on my average cost per bottle of BTAC and it is pretty respectable. Not quite @Big Jilm respectable, but I'll take it.
My sample size is small(2), but my average BTAC cost is $99 with zero tax! Yea Delaware!

It took eight months from getting the Rona, but whiskey is FINALLY starting to sound good to me again.
It’s so weird how that virus affected people so differently. I never lost my taste or smell and if anything, my tastebuds came alive after coming down with it last August. I started noticing the most subtle notes in whiskey and foods seemed to taste so much better.

Hell, I snuck a bottle of 101 Turkey into my guest room where I was in quarantine to enjoy while I “recuperated”

For some reason Bruichladdich released Octomore 13.4 months after the rest of the series instead of all together. So I get to shell out 65 GBP for shipping for one bottle instead of 100 GBP for 4.
