Saw some Kentucky Owl Rye Last Batch at my "Gucci" grocery store (I only get there once every six months, if that, it's not on my route to anywhere hardly ever) today for $275 plus 7% tax. If I was a higher roller, they had 4 or 5 bottles, and I would have gotten some!

I'll be drinking tonight. My 97.5 year old grandma, my last living grandparent, went into hospice today. I was hoping she'd make it to 100, but she was chasing birds off of her porch, fell and broke her femur, and it's been all downhill ever since. Everybody when you get a chance, toast my 97 year old grandma who was CHASING BIRDS OFF OF HER PORCH. :D (I'm too tall to live to be 97, but if I make it to like 82, I'll chase some birds off of my porch that day in her honor lol)

I have been in contact for a few months discussing options with a few other PCFers, and one again we will once again be doing a New Riff Barrel Pick.

I am looking at June 2nd for the selection which would lead to pickup the 1st week of July.

This is important

I found last year shipping is a real pain in the ass and as I appear to only have 1 person this year that I know will be avilable to help with pickup and shipping I am limiting shipped orders to 20 people. Also I found 4 bottles was the most that comfortably fit in a box packed safely for shipping.

In short this means shipped orders will be limited to 20 orders of a max of 4 bottles each.

If you are able to come to the pickup at the distillery, or can come meetup with someone who can make the pickup at the distillery then obviously you don't have to take up one of those 20 shipped spots.

Bottle Information
New Riff Bourbon
Aged a minimum of 4 years
Bottled non chill filtered at barrel proof
minimum amount of bottles 60, final bottle count must be multiple of 6.
cost: $65/Bottle ( + shipping cost if being shipped)

Hopefully @BonScot would be willing to make us a new Donkey for the laser engraving.

As last year the total payment will be due 7 days prior to the barrel selection.

Like last year I will be keeping this in this thread as it just seems the proper place.

If you would like in please respond with the number of bottles you would like so I can start gatehring information.

In for 4 bottles, but will be in the Smokey Mountains/Nashville area around the 1st of July so mark me as a shipped for now. If I can figure a pickup around then maybe I can change and open up a spot for someone else.

Can you use this? If not I’ll try to come up with something else. When do you need it for?

Getting rid of some extras,

Lemme know if any of y’all are interested in any of these:

4 bottles please. Peak baseball season, so I can’t drive out there…. Yet

I think this can work, I should be able to delete the background and make it transparent. can I get a PNG version?
I have no idea what that is  :ROFLMAO:

I draw these on a crappy wee app on my phone. Someone else will need to convert it for you.

Honestly I don’t have a clue about such things…

If it’s done in July, I can make a road trip for pick up for our East Coast MD/VA/DC folks… if that helps

it should be 1st week of july, and yeah if people are in your area you could pickup and deliver they would not need to be on the shipping list.

Trying this out for the second time, at first I wasnt impressed and not impressed the second time either   But it’s pretty good. Cheers!

Some interesting tastes:

Last night, I had my first Blanton’s. I get the hype. I was at a social event and didn’t have the time to really focus on it, but I found it really enjoyable. Smooth and easy drinking. I can see why folks like it. Definitely amazing at MSRP and I’d buy a lot of it. Not sure what the appropriate price point is, though, given the markups. (Was $15 for a decent pour at the bar.)

Today, a coworker shared an Oban Distiller’s Edition flown over by another coworker. Perfect accompaniment to an all-hands. Was a good level of peat and smoke for someone who doesn’t like peat. I prefer the 14, but will definitely return to his bottle (assuming it’s not all gone!).

Finally, I donated a bottle of B&T to the office whiskey bar. Interesting, but it would just sit on my shelf at home- would rather someone drink it.

Pound for pound Oban 14 is hard to beat in the segment.
