Definitely not quite on the level of most of what gets posted here, but a barrel selection from my regular watering hole.
This has a remarkable nose to it that I can't quite describe. I want that aroma as an air freshener or cologne, whatever magic it might be. Definitely unique to any bourbon, rye or whisky I've had.
After the first few drams from my first bottle, I knew I needed another. I went ahead and got two as the pod of people I travel with to eclipses have a tradition of "end of day" whisky sipping. We do enough outreach observing and education during the lead-up to the event that we want something to savor as each day winds down. I made the executive decision to get the second bottle for that purpose this upcoming April.
Anything we don't drink I'll take home and take care of afterwards!

I got to the local store that had them, 1 bottle limit, and every place that had them was sold out before noon.

Wow - I am not doing dry Jan but in Nov 2022 I cut back to Saturday only. With optavia diet I dropped 40+ lbs and have kept it off almost a year. Feel great. Like @Saoliver, I mostly miss the ritual. My Tuesday night bourbon was a good companion and my Tuesday night herbal tea is kinda lame.
