Yep very similar experience, especially on the nose. After a couple of sips, it was much more evident which was which. The rye version of this cranks up the flavor and compliments an already incredible profile, it's definitely not your "typcial" rye, which I really applaud JD for, not straying too far from the original. The regular SBBP are readily available here but not the ryes, this particular bottle I had to import in. But..... I've now seen 2 stores within driving distance that have gotten them in, so I'm hopeful they'll become more readily available soon.

Availability of the rye started out slow here. I think the first time I saw one was back in November. Saw a few more in different stores by January and now every store in my county has them on the shelves. About 200 bottles showing up in their inventory search.
 
I finished all the free samples I got. Wish I bought more.

How much capcity $5s. A lot right? I don’t think H17 is that much. I have 2 bottles now and I think I got them in $750 trade each

Do you have a rack of Capitol city $5’s? I can add some cash on top of the 17. I don’t wanna bother trying to trade for a barrel of cc $5’s.

No I don’t. But I don’t think I could make that trade. Aren’t CC$5s like $2k/rack? Maybe I’m thinking something else. But at that price I’ll sell my bottles.

I’m just saying it would take a minimum of H17s x 3 for a rack of CC$5s. I know where some racks are and I’d be interested if you could make that trade but I doubt it.

I doubt any CC $5’s are available and you have enough Hibiki in your stash lol. I will keep my one lonely bottle.

They're typically $110-$140 for 6yr juice, but they been putting out some pretty good stuff that's off profile. 2 store picks dropped recently nearby if you want one

Had I stopped at MY supply house first, I would have gotten an OF BP Rye. The last one walked out the door 10 minutes before I got there but I’m thrilled, as this is the first OF BP I’ve ever found in this state! To lessen the sting of missing out on the rye, the manager knocked off $20 on the EC :cool
