The Bordeaux wine finishing is very unique and quite a bit different from sherry, but it really works well with this whiskey! Bumping the proof to 92 is greatly appreciated also. This is a bit more savory over the Lusteau. You really get the wine influence on the nose and finish in this one. Glad I rolled the dice and grabbed this one!

I was in the mood for something smokey without getting into Laphroaig territory. Teeling Blackpitts to the rescue.

Ok…hear me out :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I said I didn’t like scotch and I I found that I do like unpeated single malts. I knew eventually I was gonna have to try some peated offerings so when I ran across this on clearance marked down to $40 from $75, and well, you know how it goes.

Here’s the short of it…this is really fucking good #facepalm Love the smoke that fills the glass but doesn’t kill the other notes on the nose and palate!
There’s a lot going on in there and it’s gonna take a few more pours to really pick out what’s in there, but first impression is I just completely fucked myself
