Can anyone think of what would be a good chip breakdown for 500 -600 chips for a tourney set?
I'm basically trying to to find an excuse to buy these

How many people. I do a basic T20k and you could do a one table with add-ons for about 400 chips (500 is better)

140/140/60/120/60
T25/T100/T500/T1k/T5k

Nearly all my tourney sets follow this somewhat breakdown and it works well.

Josh I have only held 10k stacks, what does the 20k blind structure compare to the 10k? I'm guessing you do around 4 hours?
 
I'm sorry that i'm a little slow to the dance here, but what's the story on the $25k chip with the clown driving the boat?

So. I actually built a structure after Poker After dark was on TV and it really is nearly perfect for my needs. We do 8/13/5/6/2 (I'm doing this off memory, so I could be off). I do 20k starting stacks with 100/200 blinds starting at 20 minutes. Now if we have 6-7 players, I lower stacks to 18500, 8-10 players is 17500. We start at 7pm and go

100/200
150/300
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
800/1600
1000/2000
1500/3000 etc

Game ends after 3.5-4 hours on the dot normally. Makes it so most players are home and in bed by 1130 every night. The players have made it clear they like a game done before midnight, so I'll change the stacks a smidge when I know we got alot of players or a rebuy junkie.

Yeah. I'd built all my sets on this base because it means I've never had to introduce a new blind schedule in 16-17 years. But a T5 or T100 base makes more sense (this having the 25s removed at the first break is a waste of time)

But, we adore it. So it just is what we use.

Team T100 base chip. But, those AS T25s are sexy!

It's no rush. We very well could be extending by a bit anyway because of the fact that we can't order until the first week of January. Just make sure you get it in once you figure it out.
