I have also entered the shipping rate for 15k chips into the spreadsheet. I've been trying to keep the next shipping level cost in there so people can be prepared if the order quantity rises.

The extra cost to have air shipping (as soon as the order is completed) vs sea shipping by waiting till the beginning of February is 1 cent per chip right now. It could even end up not making an impact since I have the spreadsheet rounding up fractions of a penny. If that ends up being the case then there's zero reason to wait till February.

I get that feel from most people. It was suggested by all the others that we need to be as transparent as possible and I'm trying to communicate changes as they happen. Maybe over communicating lol. Either way everyone knows what's going on.

40 NCV (Hammer2171 Hate) chips,

100 - $0.25 (donkey sausage)
100 - $1 (Alternate $1 with donkey scrubbing)

100 - $5 (undead donkey)
20 - $20 (alternate $20, donkey at sunset)

120 - T25s (donkey liberty)

After a couple weeks of back and forth emails with GPI's legal department we finally have an answer.....We are fine. Here's the gist.

Ben Comin who is the legal counsel for GPI is who I was in contact with. He forwarded our request to GPI's specialized trademark attorneys. They came back just today and basically told Ben that he can't give us a firm greenlight or a go ahead specifically, simply because they don't know who we are or our intent. What he just told me on the phone was that the reason behind this was simply because of past issues from people on this forum (wonder who that is) and what he called "black market production" of GPI chips. He assured me though, that unless we plan on ramping up to full commercial production of these scrub donkey chips and move to be direct competition with GPI that we have nothing to worry about from them.

More specifically their trademark attorneys said that it is "obvious" that we aren't directly copying their trademarks, and while there are similarities they are not near close enough to be an issue with them.

I completely understand not giving us a green light in writing simply because he is right, they don't know who we are, but he was nice enough to tell me on the phone that there is nothing to worry about. Basically we hold our fate in our own hands, and we know our intentions with this. I don't plan on quitting my job at the prison to mass produce scrub donkey poker chips in an effort to put GPI out of business and since @Kensco and @BonScot both own the intellectual rights to their images, if anyone outside of those of us they have given permission to decided to produce chips they would have to deal with those 2 over intellectual property first.

So again, zero issues, we are full steam ahead.

If the shipping is only going to be 85.00 more for the group to do it in January i say do it then. Its a difference of .01 per chip right? I am good with that.

New chip leader folks!
 
Ok due to shipping concerns with the holidays in the US and the Chinese New Year we will be extending the order period to January 18th. I apologize for the extra delay, the extra shipping costs are something the manufacturer wasn't exactly upfront about. @BGinGA also gave me some good information about it being better to wait simply because the most experienced/senior employees in a place like this in China will sometimes be off the entire month of January because of the Chinese New Year. We want to make sure we get the best product we can get and the biggest shipping bargain.

Timeline will be as follows. January 18th at midnight group buy closes. Collection of money will be from January 19th-25th once all money is collected the order will be placed. Its just a guess on delivery but I think its safe to say end of February beginning of March will be the earliest to expect it.

I appreciate everyone's input and patience, and apologize for the delay.

Ok so just to make sure, the alt 100 is the blue with the donkey and scrub brush correct? That means your 1 and your 100 will be blue

May I ask what is it driving you to jump on board? (I'm glad you are!) Is it the amazing no markup price @Marhault got us? Is it the amazing job @Kensco and @BonScot did with the artwork? Or are you just a scrub donkey like @FordPickup92 and need these chips? Maybe it's something I haven't mentioned?
