? I think you might be thinking of someone else. Pescatori has never been slim, trim, or fashionable.Did you see max this year? I didn't even recognize him. He used to be slim, trim, handsome and fashionable. This year he looked like me. What happened?
absolutely, me being a fan for years of the RIO Design, this is a piece of shit in comparison. I can't believe it!!I've come to two conclusions that I'm jumping to:
1. Those who design chips for WSOP and many other casinos have no knowledge of PCF and rather oblivious to good chip design practices or are just following exectutives' orders for their vision of the designs.
2. The WSOP chips designers are totally aware of PCF and made the WSOPs so underwhelming that it kneecaps the efforts of chip harvesters.
There are so many boring, annoying, and uninspired elements in these WSOP racks. Huge missed opportunity when in a position to rebrand and it winds up being a backwards move. World Series of Meh. These are WSOM chips to me from here on out.
Who was the guy in the nice suit at the final two tables of the main a few years back - Daniel was there, joe from Philly won, that disasterface called clock on somebody too quickly . . .? I think you might be thinking of someone else. Pescatori has never been slim, trim, or fashionable.

Max Steinberg. Different Max.? I think you might be thinking of someone else. Pescatori has never been slim, trim, or fashionable.

They should design an entirely new set each year and then sell them off to collector / players afterward. Wouldn’t be a security risk to have last year’s chips out there if next year’s will be different. Might help a lot of people get some good true clay in quantity!Overall these chips suck. Wonder how long they keep them.
Although many of these chips are underwhelming, there are some stacks that look really nice.
I do think the primary purpose for their edge spot choices is for security reasons, not for aesthetics.

Relatively new. I've seen it on the Copag Elite series. This Ace doesn't ring a bell... New design?
There's a weird filter on there. The colors haven't changed.I haven't been able to watch any of it this year, just following along here and on the website. Does anyone know if they switched 100k chips between days? Or are they just photographing really differently?
They look very blue in this picture as compared to some of the other shots from another day where they look lavender.
Edit: This is what I mean by lavender.

They were very aggressive about chipping up and taking small denominations out of play. Something about it helps the pace of play and less errors caused by big stacks. But also they were too aggressive because there was a constant need to make change for people at the table.Seems like nobody ever has a big stack in any of the pics and YouTube coverage that I’ve seen. I loved in previous years seeing someone with a fricking castle of chips at the end of the table.
Until they get to final tables of the housewarming and main event where they leave useless chips in play. Seriously, why have a 1.25m/2.5m level when you can just do 1.5m/2.5m and get the green out of there. It literally wasn't used since 250k/500k. And when then I think keeping it around was a stretch as it could have been 300k/500k.They were very aggressive about chipping up and taking small denominations out of play. Switching those two would make the whole set make perfect sense.Wow. The Black chip is very nice looking, but I feel like if they were going to make a red 5K and a green 25K, they should have made a black 100K. Then that lavender one could be the 500k - but make it stronger somehow.
I looked up the definition of the word “meh” in the dictionary just now and there was a picture of this exact chip…
Those denoms are comically small. This is what happens when you don't get prototypes printed first!
