Paulson Chip Worth? (3 Viewers)

Damn @ChipEnvy I think you just answered my question. I'm gonna keep these. Get either a set of GOCC or CPC and F with those. Then when (& if) Paulson/GPI ever makes for the public then I'll make a custom set of those. Does anyone know if CPC chips are any good compared to Pauly's? I know that Pauly's are pretty much in a class on there own but if anyone has a set of CPC if they're a solid substitute

GPI *may* eventually come back to the home market but chances are essentially zero that custom options will be available if they do. Maybe I'm wrong on both points - time will tell.

And yes, there are a few of us here with custom CPC sets. ;) Just take a look around the custom pr0n threads.

Wow @links_slayer thank you VERY much for the links! They actually put a smile on my face. Thanks so VERY much. These MUST cost a lot now!!!! Even though they're a fantasy set, still interesting to know it followed an actual casino here in SinCity!!!

That's my set.
Not anymore.;)

I have maybe 800-1000 of the $1 300-500 of the $5 300-500 of the $25 and about 300 of the $100
How much for the entire lot? Serious buyer here.

I have around 2250 of the 20th Century original chips (my expanded set is around 3000 chips, which includes 25c and $20 semi-custom chips for cash, and $500, $1000, $5000 semi-custom chips for tourney).

CPC A-crest, B-diamond, H-, HHR, scroll, and diamond-square molds are all better than anything Paulson has, IMO (many will disagree.) The color selection is not as wide, but you get to pick your own. :)

Sorry @BGinGA after finding out about the set I have & @ChipEnvy sad, sad story, I'm going to keep these. Then make a custom set for my crap table & Poker table. Then play the waiting game with Paulson when they release to the public again.

So funny. I couldn't give these away back in the day. Glad they are with BGinGA now though.
I remember you trying to unload these, Couga. I did everything I possibly could to try to raise the money at the time and you even made a very generous offer to me even. And yeah I think you were right around $1 per back then...sellers market now for sure. Always loved these.

That's it guys!!! I just might have to go with CPC!!!! These chips are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@charlie96792 Many custom CPC sets ordered today would be around $2500 per thousand chips, +/- $500. That's a wide range, obviously, but so are the ranges of what people like and can afford. My tournament set would run about $2150 for a thousand chips.

Depending on your edge spots you could probably be under $2000 or closer to $3000 per 1000 but this is somewhat correct. Go to classicpokerchips.com and check out their pricing on the custom chips option. It varies by mold used as well.

Edit - whoops Tommy already provided a direct link

If you sell half your chips you could buy a custom set quite easily :) Like I and others have said, now is a good time to sell. If you aren't going to collect them and don't have a need for 2000 chips in a single set, it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to hold on to them unless you believe GPI will never get back in the maker and nobody else will step in to create competition with CPC.

I wish part of me didn't believe that last part to likely be true.
