PCF Shows (4 Viewers)

I'm 5 episodes into the first season. I like it. Things have just gotten busy and I haven't had time for anything. Maybe I'll get an episode in before football today

The dividing line between those who liked it and those who didn't is based on expectation. People who think it's a mystery show and are watching to find out what happens get frustrated and people who recognize that it's a character drama with a sci-fi backdrop are able to see it for what it is rather than something that's never coming.

I like it alot. I just used a similar explanation with my daughter. Ep 6 was very solid

Damn, helluva Sunday night. Great episodes of Homeland and the Leftovers and even if the episode wasn't great, at least big things are happening on the Walking Dead.

Seven things to know about Starz’ new 10-episode series:

1) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” is better than the “Evil Dead” movies.

2) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” is a most worthy successor to Sam Raimi’s “Army of Darkness.”

3) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” is the best half-hour series on television.

4) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” is hilarious, and evocative of writer-director Sam Raimi’s most entertaining work.

5) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” takes full advantage of the fact that Starz, its pay-cable home, permits TV-MA things that big-screen movies cannot.

6) “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” features in its first four minutes one-handed Ash Williams having heroic doggie-style public-bathroom sex with an easily deceived stranger.

7) What the clip above doesn’t show you is -- even though Ash’s sex partner takes on a hideous demon face – he’s no quitter.

It premieres Halloween. Come get some.

first 4 minutes..........lol

Finished S1 of The Leftovers last night. The series really picked up steam. I can't wait to start S2. Probably later this week.

I enjoyed it up until the end. I guess I felt the ending was too happy with the family reunited, and Season 2 (at least to the point we stopped watching) doesn't feature the mysterious guy who shoots the dogs, and he was one of my favorite characters.

Long thread and I'm lazy to read it all through. Has anyone watched "The 100"? Any good?

Starz Renews ASH VS. EVIL DEAD For Second Season!!

sweet, S1 hasn't even aired yet

Watched my usual Sunday shows.

Homeland: Continuing to be very good this season. As expected F. Murray Abraham's character is the antagonist for a lot of the action this season.
Walking Dead: Not sure I needed a whole episode of what's-his-name's backstory. I guess it was fine.
Leftovers: Maybe the best show currently airing. Another perfect episode imo.

Homeland i always watch on Mondays: agreed, great season so far, looking forward to last nights episode

Walking Dead: i watched 10 minutes, then fast forwarded thru the entire episode to make sure no main characters died. Terribad episode

I was reading on Aintitcoolnews.com and it looks like their considering rebooting "The Greatest American Hero". This was a comedy show from the early 80's. As a kid, I remember liking it (I'm sure it was horrible, lol). I might have to try and stream a few episodes for shits n grins :)

I agree about Homeland. I'm really enjoying it so far. Doesn't seem to be hitting that slow stretch in the middle of the season like the last few have (not that I minded, I enjoy the story telling). I thought the most recent episode was really good.

I honestly didn't mind WD. 64 minutes long of Bishop......errrrrrrrrrrr, Morgan was a tad much. I didn't mind. It was a nice break instead of going straight to Maggie's grieving.

Believe it or not I'm walking on air, never thought I could feel so free-heee-heeeeee!

Loved this show as a kid, still get a kick out of it today, although definitely cheesy, but kinda meant to be. A teacher finds an alien suit that gives him powers, but the instruction manual is lost and thus hilarity ensues as he tries to figure out how to operate it. Kinda like the human version of Super Grover (uh, you're stepping on my cape sir)

I remember watching it every week. I remember liking it. As a kid we can sometimes be stupid with the shit we like, lol. I might try and stream the pilot tonight.

Cheesy fun is exactly how I remember it.

Anyone looking forward to the Jessica Jones Netflix series that comes out in a few weeks? I've been reading solid previews on it from ign and aintitcoolnews.

I've got a bunch of friends who are into it. I never really heard of that superhero but will probably give it a look

I'm only slightly familiar with her. She was part of the Defenders. Kind of an Avengers, but smaller scale, on the ground type of hero's. If they can put a product out as good as Daredevil I'm willing to give any of their hero shows a shot.

We just re watched Daredevil over the last few weeks. Excellent series

Sunday shows:

Walking Dead - meh, fine I guess. Was really hoping Deanna would just throw herself over the wall at the end. Added her almost immediately on her first appearance to the long list of characters I wish would eat it.

Homeland - another very good episode. Much better season than I expected so far. Hopefully they keep it up.

Leftovers - pretty much the best thing on TV right now and this episode continued the string of greatness. The performances by Carrie Coon and Regina King were just ridiculous. And from the preview it looks like next week's will be at least as good.

I need to plunge into the Master of None on Netflix with Aziz Ansari, not a huge fan of his typically but Im hearing rave reviews for his new show

My plan is to watch it tonight. I agree. A very solid season that I had low expectations for. It actually seems to be getting better than the last couple of seasons.

Outside of last nights episode I finally caught up on S2. I love it. I'm really enjoying how they have attacked season 2. Patti might be the best thing about the show. Fucking hilarious............Warmer, warmer.......lol.

Same here. Also it has Joe Mande involved evidently more than the credits would indicate and he's hilarious so I'll give it a shot.

@detroitdad I agree about Patti in the Leftovers. Never saw her being such a force on the show but she's fantastic.

Master of None isn't bad. I am only 2 episodes in so far though. Ansari is very hit or miss with me and I don't want to kill him yet.

anyone else looking forward to Jessica Jones? I'm not horribly familiar with her. After DD. I'm more than willing to give this a shot.

I'm really looking forward to it Bill... Krysten Ritter looks really good in that role... Based on the trailer alone, I think it has the potential of being even better than DareDevil... That's speaks volume to me, as DareDevil was head and shoulders above any other superhero adaptation, whether movie, series, tv or cinema imo...

Dork alert - first couple of episodes of Supergirl were actually fairly entertaining. Battle scenes are pretty horrible, but I like the story line. And the battles only take 2-3 minutes, unlike the last 1/3 of Man of Steel. Kind of silly that "James Olsen" is the photographer at the media company where she works, but whatever, I love me some aliens from Krypton saving the planet.

I've watched several trailers and read a few previews on it. Its looking to be pretty solid. One of the previews I read said that the original character is pretty vulger, lots of "F" bombs, sex, and shit. Interesting to see how Marvel/Netflix handle it.

@jbutler WTF................great "The Leftovers" episode...........WOW............suspected that he wouldn't revive him, but wow..........
