PerthMike's 2019 Vegas Trip Report (5 Viewers)

Enjoy your trip. You should go down Fremont street if you get the chance. Old school Vegas. When I was there everyone recommended Vic & Anthony’s steakhouse which is in the Golden Nugget. I went and it was brilliant. Like something out of a 70’s mob movie. We all got fillet steak with lobster tail. The service is nothing like you get over here. The waiter practically gave us the lobster and cow’s biographies  :ROFLMAO:

And if you go the Harrah’s on the strip you might see this legend...

Gah....I think that's what Elvis looked like right before his "final dump". :vomit:

You'll find no shortage of minty chips in Vegas. You just have to ask the right people.
I've been trying. Caesars said they would, but then left me standing there for about 10 minutes so I gave up and left

Day 2

So after getting back from the gym and eating breakfast, I drove down to the Rio and finalized my registration for tomorrow. That out of the way I decided to drive to the crown and anchor British pub on East Tropicana Ave to watch Arsenal v Chelsea. 15 mins in I realised that the terrible way in which arsenal are run has left me feeling numb towards them, so I left. Sad, when I've been a passionate supporter for the last 25 years. They ended up losing 4-1 so leaving was a good decision.

My next move was to get confused at the petrol station, as I didn't realise that you had to pay first. Weird.

Following on from that I headed to Silver Sevens full of enthusiasm and confidence that my plans to get some 1s and 2s would be successful. My enthusiasm lasted for about 2 ninutes, as there were only 2 tables open, with no 2s in sight and the 1s didn't look great either. The cashier said they couldn't give me any chups, so I left. What a dump that place was  :ROFLMAO:

I sat down at Harrah's for a few hours to put in my first poker session. I was up about $200 for a while, but dumped off $150 to a rivered backdoor flush when I had pocket aces. Kinda frustrating and I nearly folded the river, but the price was too good to fold.

They refused to sell me a rack of 1s at the cage, so my harvesting attempts there are slower than expected. Planet Hollywood also refused to sell me a rack. Paris is going well though, this is what I have so far.

I cleaned them btw. 25 mint Paris is decent though, I'm happy with that.

Oh and I stopped off at in n out burgers and had the double cheese. The burger tasted pretty great to be fair, but as well as being a coffee snob, I'm also a burger snob, and i've had burgers from at least 3 hipster burger joints in Perth that are definitely better. I enjoyed the flavour of the patties, but they were smaller than I prefer. The cheese was great and I thought the buns were ok too. I kinda feel like they taste like what McDonald's should taste like in an ideal world.

Oh and the chips were shit  :ROFLMAO:

I'm now back to the room at 8pm, like the old man I am. I'm still feeling exhausted, and to be fajr I have spent 35 hours in the air since last Tuesday night. i've been on 4 continents in those 4 days. I want to be nice and fresh for my big 50 flight tomorrow.

All in all a great day and i'm loving Vegas so far.

In and Out isn't a "great" burger by any means...but it's very consistent, fast, and cheap. It's a great value burger I would say.

I'm shocked at how good the condition is on the Paris chips. I suppose I should be thankful for all the previous harvesters that force them to continuously reorder them lol

I haven't sorted through a single chip in the casino, I asked for 82 chips and got them. I expected to get something like 25% of the chips in nice conditiono. Some of the 5s on Paris and Harrah's are seriously beat up and rounded.

I waited 10 minutes, but there was a large queue lol, so that's pretty quick. Being fair to it, I would say it's definitely the best fast food style burger I've had.
