I’ve contemplated making a post like this for a while, so lemme ask the community.

Would video demonstrations of cheating techniques be beneficial? More importantly what to look for when trying to catch cheating both in home games and casinos?

Some would be card mechanic stuff, some would be collusion, some would angles to look.

I’ve been an award winning card magician for almost 30 years and have played poker pretty seriously about 25 years, including running private games for about 15 years. I’m not claiming to be the ultimate expert here, I’m just offering my skill set and talents to help the community if yall think it would be informative (and possibly entertaining!) :)

Hell yeah. I've got several up close magicians in the family and it's always fun trying to catch the mechanics involved etc. Same reason I watch Fool Us so much. I'd like and subscribe.

That's awesome. I just got tickets to see Jason Ladanye in January. Looking forward to it. What do you think about him? Seems pretty impressive to me.

If you have videos on any of your card mechanics, please post those too!

@casinochipper22 Jason is great. He found a niche that really interested him, got incredibly good, used the internet to really boost his brand, and plays his character beautifully. I still hold Richard Turner as a slightly better mechanic, but Jason is pretty close.

I’ll post some of my card handling as I explain different types of deals, shuffles, etc. :)

This should be cool to see. I had the pleasure of meeting guys like Jason England and Sal Piacente here in Vegas who are both excellent in this field.

Steve Forte will always be the goat IMO but I always love to see each person’s take on false deals, shuffles, etc.

Are you channeling your inner Morgan Freeman from Now You See Me?

I think it’s cool to share and hopefully not easily reproducible because I could see shady people going around using tricks to cheat random people’s games not in the know (but I guess that could already be happening to us… so we should know?)

The sad part is that people with very little technical skill can cheat a game pretty easily.

Pre-internet (and especially pre-YouTube) I think there was a decently strong argument for not sharing this information. But now that it’s so easy to find info on how to cheat, I think showing hosts (and other players) what to look for (especially in a community like PCF) is key to fostering a healthy poker environment.

Yes, I'd appreciate the chance to watch these videos. Not sure if I've ever seen a cheat in action, but chances are I have and didn't recognize it.

This dude just keeps getting cooler.

JL is amazing. His ability to handle cards is amazing.

Agreed. Posting it from the perspective of "home game hosts, here's what to look for" as opposed to "here's how to cheat at cards" will be way better.

His control of cards in a wash is mindblowing

That sounds like a fun show!
