I voted for Lakeshores (because they're the best, to me), and Starlite. But if I had it to do over, I would change the Starlite vote to RVCL or Giraffes, because they have a frac. The lack of a frac for Starlite makes it tough for my game (low stakes), and since the question is which would I rather own...gotta go with something I could put in play. So, Lakeshores and RVCL. Ah....just noticed that I could change my vote. Done!

Although in all honesty while I'm sure Robert was proud of that Catalin set (those are in fact quite unusual colors, and beautiful) I'm betting this was one of his more treasured finds.

We'll get WW into vintage sets yet! They just have to be sufficiently out-of-reach to be a challenge. :)

I voted for the Giraffes because I heart them <3

And Dunes, due to the history, design, and me wanting to have many many many many.

Did anyone else notice some poll takers were only choosing one set? At 108 participants, there were 204 selections made. So 12 picked just 1 set. It may not be voter fraud, but shame on you! :D

I'd always thought given the chance I'd go with the giraffes, but when push comes to shove, there are some sets that are higher on that list.

Outposts and Lakeshores (but that was not easy).

Realized that there are certain chips that are driving that.
Love the Lakeshore 1s and the Outpost 5s. Wonder what a mixed set built around those might look like.
That could be a fun experiment; creating different mixed-set lineups out of these chips.

Impressive to see - thanks for sharing.

Where is the option "none of the above"? No offense. I don't "covet" any of them. There are some nice ones for sure. I'm pretty happy with what I own. Especially the TRK set on loan from Mel.

No offense taken at all, Bill!

Standard research methodology construct, really. Prompt says “which two of these would” as opposed to “which two would”, which is a research technique meant to elicit a relative response, not an absolute one.

It’s similar to an a presidential candidate poll — you may not like any of the candidates, but the poll asks you to at least pick the candidate you have the least issues with.

I was mostly just curious about the relative ranking among PCFers of the Paulson sets I owned, not whether they loved them at all. Easiest thing to do in this case I guess would be to abstain from the poll.

It was just a silly notion to know where the Paulson sets sat in relative comparison to each other. Your TRK set is amazing, no question.

In that case, I probably like the lakeshores the best. I love the colors on the giraffes, I just can't get past that inlay. Same with the starlites. I love the colors, just not the inlay

That is actually not a bad idea at all. I’m uniquely positioned to do it. Any lineup requests, folks?

Mixed sets are for when you’ve got some cool chips that don’t make a full set. We don’t shuffle complete grail sets together to see what happens.
I need a punch bowl to smash.

@Windwalker You have owned all these amazing sets and yet no PCA!? Really amazing collection for such a short time in the hobby and it was not easy to pick my favorites. Your outpost set is one of my favorites on PCF because of the condition of the $1’s. I had over 1000 to pick out about 120 in nice condition. I also choose the RCVLs. While I don’t like the gold in the inlay I just love the $1 and $5 combo! Binion’s is close because of the history though.

Binions and Dunes. Not necessarily the best looking chips out of the bunch but I’m more of a history guy than an aesthetics guy. Those sets make me feel like I’m sitting at the table between Doyle and Tony Spilatro in the 70’s wondering if Doyle is about to stack me or if I’m going to find myself wearing a pair of cement shoes if I stack Spilatro.
