a sad middle-of-the-pack finish for me at the mohegan sun $150 yesterday, but they had a really nice day-after-christmas turnout - 245 players making 1st place over $7k. of course they chopped 12-ways for $2kish each. but still, i miss playing in large field casino tournaments.

Running good and getting action equal to a winning session

Gotten lot of max value today. Noticeable hands are I flop a K high flush and got call down by a straight and 2 pairs ; got 4 bet when I got Aces at the straddle and also flop a straight on a 3b 4 way pot with my JT suited

In for $600 Out for $1716

A wonderful way to end Year 2022

Me and my wife used to play heads up a lot…please describe your structure. Not that it really matters, but I usually just lose on purpose to get her in the sack…mostly.
We use a variety of structures, as part of our Heads-up "Master of Poker" series. The current series has 31 events, including 9 NLHE tournaments, 5 NLHE cash games, 2 limit cash games, and 15 other poker games from Open Face Chinese and Pineapple up to Scarney.

For the most part, the structures are the same as our regular tournament structures, but with shorter level times. For example, last night used our T1,000,000 structure. Usually that has 20 minute levels, but for heads-up we used 12 minute levels. Most tournaments last 2 hours (we also have 2 deepstack structures that last 4 hours).

I thought about creating a thread detailing the whole process, but figured interest would be low in such a series.

Going to need an synopsis on this one
Well there was lots of bourbon!

One hand I vaguely recall, I open QX in MP, EP limp-calls along with blinds, I cbet flop QXX, don't recall sizing but isolated EP, turn Q, I bet, he calls, brick river QXXQX, now he bets, I raise to 900 which was a massive overbet, he tank-calls and shows AA. He doesn't call there if I'm not three sheets to the wind.

Had fun hosting an impromptu Sunday 4pm game. Everyone was off for the New Year and the game was 7 handed PLO/NLHE .5/.10 blinds with an occasional .50 plo bomb pot. In for $20 and eventually out for $46.

I told you guys when I bought the Aria’s I was gonna go heavy nickels….lol

I’d definitely be interested…
