Possibly the worst beat I’ve ever taken. Flopped a set of fours, lose to runner runner Royal flush on the last hand of the night, which was a $25 bomb pot (all in on the flop).

Whole table screamed. Except for me of course. Left speechless and down $350 for the night lol (I’m the stack in the background).

Everyone liked the Greek molds though. Very colorful and great feel.

Walk it off.

If opponent is calling all-in with a naked king high, you are bound to be a winner long-term.

I was going to say, if you’ve got bottom set on the flop, and you can lose to a straight or a flush on the river, that’s not exactly a horrific bad beat.

This has got to be one of the fugliest looking stacks of chips I’ve seen…

I’m always so curious when you need $2 denoms, would it just be if you’re short on $1 chips I guess? And similarly I guess you’d need $10 denoms if you’re short on $5 chips
Usually for limit games tbh

Interesting. RPC inlay on BTP color scheme?

Back in 2020-2021ish Florida outlawed greyhound racing. These tracks and the 2 hard rocks are the only places poker is legal. The tracks were grandfathered in and still allowed to play cards. The super bright chips in a picture above is from a track that rebranded with new chips (boo palm trees I know), but these guys decided to keep their old nasty chips despite all the backlash. Still one of the best games in the Tampa Bay Area

OK good. I thought I was missing something there. "How the F did they get it all-in on the flop?"
He rebought in for $100 right before the hand to join in the bomb pot. $25 in the bomb pot, so he had $75 behind. He was on my right. I looked down and peeled my set and when it was his turn to act, I egged him on a bit and told him “this is why you bought in!”. And he just said screw it and shoved. Then I jammed. And lost the runout.

Interesting approach! In my short time here, I've found the RPC to be among the most beautiful chips I've seen in terms of colors and spots. I was surprised by the set, as well!

I agree! I wanted an RPC set but already committed to buying a Tiger set. So I opted for the much cheaper route and went with something custom using the RPC inlay. The rest of my poker group (mostly non chippers) love the Cali secondary colors.

What in the actual fuck are you doing?
Oiling. Per Apache’s website, they recommend a Mineral Oil bath. 2 tablespoons of mineral oil with a gallon or so of water. Soak for 30 seconds. Dry off. Let dry overnight.

I’m FAR too lazy for the “oil one at a time” method.

I think I got tilted by these chips...

I think I spend half the time wonder why there are 5 denomations in play for a 25c/50c game.

If I had to guess the reason, I would imagine that the host doesn't have enough $5s to cover his game, and the game is not big enough to need $25s.

Edit: Wait, there are only 4 denoms in that pic. What's the 5th? If it's a 50 cent chip, then yeah, I'm super tilted too!

It was 25c/1/5/10/$25. The host definitely didn't have enough $5s for 18 cash player or whatever we had.
