It's tough but $4/8 is the lowest where I think it's beatable. Obv even better if you can find a time charge game.
There is no way there is a decent ratio of earn rate/variance though.

A soft 10/20 is the ultimate recreation game in my experience. Unfortunately those are rarer than I'd like.

What chip breakdown do I need for a 5/10 or 10/20 limit game? 18 racks of bluebirds, 2 racks of $25s and a couple barrels of hundos do it?

I like buying in for 2 racks in 10/20, so 2 racks for each player in the game, and as many hundos as the group would need to top up. 1-2 racks would seem plenty.

For the first year Parx was open, before the now rock solid $6/12 OE game got started, they had a $4/8 O8 game and I played it twice a week and had a win rate of around $12/hr. Horrible for a real "job" but fine in relation to the betting structure.

You'll have to play the $10/20 at Borgata. Not as loose as it should be but the players are truly horrid.

1.5BB/hour is a good win rate for sure.

What games does the Borgata spread at 10/20?

I was referring to the LHE game above but the O8 game is also pretty good. They occasionally spread Big O at that level as well.

So I'm ok for the initial buy-in at 10/20, but sorely lacking in the higher denoms (only two barrels of hundos). But for 5/10, it's a rack per player, right? So I'd definitely have plenty.

Standard limit buy-in is 25 big bets so 5/10 would be $250. Rob likes two racks at 10/20 but that's because he wants tons of chips in front of him.

You have plenty chips for a 10/20 game. Would be optimal to have a couple more barrels of hundos but not necessary by any means.

Forgot to share this last week while at the borgata!

I'd rather play 10/20 in a casino or raked under ground game, and 5/10 or 4/8 or even 3/6 in an unraked game with friends. You should be good for 5/10 for sure.

I don't have anything to stack up with Dan Bilzerian's most recent Instagram hijinx, but I'll take a nice tidy stack of PNY's after some 1/2 action on one of the sweetest custom tables ever.

Nice stack, good to book a win. But I wish you had let me take a lint roller to that little area before snapping that pic...

guess i'll have to start taking pics again now that we're start this thread up, i guess. scrolling back in my phone, though, here's one from a while ago. gotta rep the Borgata bud jones beauties. also, there's one from Harrah's AC before they pulled the CiC redbirds. i loved those chipes. and parx, which i guess is my now-former second home since i no longer work close enough to make regular visits.
