This would appear a very good opportunity for those who clean and straighten chips. I would think to mail straight to them.

While I know we don’t cross streams regarding vendors (isn’t a service provided here), is there a vendor or non vendor who enjoys that process or is great at flattening? I’ve never had it needed or done outside of @Ben8257 doing a solid job on some warped hotstamps.

Who flattens for dollas?
Just a headsup that an Ultrasonic clean wont do it for these, they need a good scrub with the magic eraser to get the film off. Post ultrasonic the film still came off on my hand.

I actually use a 2 bucket/eraser cleaning method as the yellow gets everywhere in the first clean. So far it takes me on average an hour per barrel.

I'd be very happy if someone comes up with a quicker method!

Also, I wouldn't recommend playing with them preclean, the film that comes off isnt always visible, but is very much visible under a black light.

Here is one rack done, I may go over some of these again as I've found I've gotten more proficient at removing the yellow.

Pros with these chips:
- great bargain
- inlays come off very easy (no nail polish remover required)
- make a great $0.25

What is your best guess as to what is this yellow stuff?

What is your best guess as to what is this yellow stuff?
I think it is something that happens to Light Pink. My Paulson colour sample and the Horseshould Cleveland $500 show the same yellowing

This HSI is half cleaned.

It is near impossible to get out of the hats and thr edges but in lower light conditions (like I play in), I dont think anyone will notice.

Good point, because IMHO I believe a lot of the snappers are warped pretty badly from the 4 or 5 racks I have recently seen, every chip was warped. I can’t post pictures, because the chips are no longer with me. Either way, a great price if you don’t mind taking the time to unwarp the chips.

You will buy some of Snapper????
If yes let me know on private message

I'm surprised the limit is 400? Do people need that many snappers for their sets? Seems like they're just going to get gobbled up by resellers? And I would think that a casino would not stock that many to begin with to make the supply huge. I know Jim knows what he's doing, so someone enlighten me.

Fracs for relabel - 200, snappers for the hell of it - 200

Use your imagination man!

Just above average weight in a warmer room seems to help get a little wobble out of them
These unleaded chips aren’t as easy though to flatten from my experience though

How much scrubbing does it take for it to come off?

A lot, but the amount varies per chip. They all have sharp edges (big ++) BUT due to that they eat magic erasers (and your hands).

As mentioned, I use a 2 wash bucket line. First was clean face and edges as best as possible, 2nd wash inspect and take off as much as possible until no more yellow comes off on magic eraser.

I have another barrel I am cleaning Wednesday, I will take some more pictures then.

So you put so many in a bucket with water and then after you clean them the first time you put them into another bucket to sit?
How warped are the chips that you have?
That would be awesome to see the process you are doing!

If this is something that just happens to light pink will it happen again after it has been cleaned? Anyone else have this happen to light pink chips they have??

Yes, the water in the first bucket becomes very yellow. One thing that helped a lot was to rinse the magic eraser after cleaning each chip.

I'm not sure how good a judge I am on warped chips. Based on what I have seen online they seem to be similar to the HSI $1a chips (I dont have any of those chips to compare directly). There have been only 2-3 really bigtime warped chips.

Most are like this (what degree of warped is this):

I'll likely try out some of the clamping methods listed by others, but dont think it will take much.

Was expecting the warping to be a lot worse than this, which is cool! Man, 50-cent snappers — what a time to be alive. Looks like it's time to take my first stab at a Chip Room Sale...

I am new here, do you ship overseas?
Yes he should you will have to have your address pre entered into your PayPal and it should automatically calculate the international shipping
(I'm not overseas so if this doesn't work this way someone who is can correct my statement)

From the racks I have personally seen recently, that’s how they would look squeezed together o_O

Yeah, this in a nutshell! To get a jump on how much you should expect to pay for international shipping, what I do is use the following thread to add chips to my cart — then go far enough into the checkout process that it gives you a total for shipping, too:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/black-friday-sale.64636/

As a rule of thumb here in the UK, shipping for 200 chips from Jim is double the price of 100 — but then the price to ship 400 is the same as 200, due to the flat rate shipping boxes used.
