that has to be a lot of chips…. at least 50k? Awesome….I was only on the periphery of submitting the order and even that was stressful.
Loading a couple crates into MatB’s van and watching it sag under the weight and then prying open the crates to see GPI boxes was fairly amazing tho.

I'm just sayin' that the Tiger THC chips could have easily been produced with a number of other active GPI 39mm clay molds, including -- but not limited to -- RHC, denom, decor ring, lammer, roulette, flower/sun, or even a custom-made house mold, and with a large number of available inlay sizes on each one. They also could have been made in a half-dozen other chip diameters ranging from 36mm to 50mm.Factually correct, of course. But based on what a guy can reasonably track down, I’ll stick with my point.
I think that was the rationale when it came to casino used chips, but don’t know of anyone who has purchased new RHC chips for home use and had major flea bite issues.I thought the biggest plus of the mold was that they wouldn’t flea bite as much as RHC, but I think THC generally looks better anyway.
I agree that THC looks better but I’m questioning the durability thing now. RHC chip more often but the chips I’ve seen in THC is usually catastrophic. Is this a known thing or am I off base?I thought the biggest plus of the mold was that they wouldn’t flea bite as much as RHC, but I think THC generally looks better anyway.

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t fantasized about what these chips would look like on a Tiger Hose mold.I'm just sayin' that the Tiger THC chips could have easily been produced with a number of other active GPI 39mm clay molds, including -- but not limited to -- RHC, denom, decor ring, lammer, roulette, flower/sun, or even a custom-made house mold, and with a large number of available inlay sizes on each one. Not even gonna mention their multiple high-end plastics products or casino-quality acylic plaques and jetons with multiple size and configuration options (oops, guess I did anyway).
In short, CPC doesn't have a monopoly in offering a wide array of chip mold options (which is sorta what you were implying with your lopsided numerical comparison).
Was thinking the same thingI’d be lying if I said I haven’t fantasized about what these chips would look like on a Tiger Hose mold.
A tiger house mold. now that would have been cool!I'm just sayin' that the Tiger THC chips could have easily been produced ....., or even a custom-made house mold,

Did Elon Musk secretly buy GPI?Discontinued
Elon would at least put up a poll and let the masses decide if GPI should sell to the public…Did Elon Musk secretly buy GPI?
Jesus. How many chips was that order (assuming it's not too secret) and which NAGB was this?I was only on the periphery of submitting the order and even that was stressful.

stow them away and in 10 years maybe these go for $50 a chip
Agreed. When I got my first CPC sample set, I was disappointed. When I got my first paulson's, I was in love.Exactly this. I love my CPC set and they do a great service but shuffling a stack of those and then shuffling a stack of leaded TRK or THCs and there is a huge difference.
I am pretty certain people will put those together at some point... I am envisioning a robust secondary market activity after the chips go on sale and get delivered as people will try to bulk-up some sets and even create other playable sets from scratch.
Initially there will be a 400pc, 600pc, and 1500pc tournament sets that will become available for sale (all hot stamps) and the cash sets will be for $0.25/$0.50, $1/$2, $2/$5 and $5/$10 games (both primary and secondary).
People hated their chips while they were open. QC issues aside, the majority of people felt the feel of BC chips were inferior to any Paulson chips. There was…(but it was not customer focused)
BCC
the best of their sets can rival any set out there
I'll take late run BCC's over just about anything else. They corrected both the printing, inlays, and weight issues. My last order direct from Mike Endy was unrivaled in every aspect....feel, sound, weight, inlay blah blah blah etc. They made my earlier run of CDI's look like trash...which frankly they were imo in comparison. Also nothing I've handled yet comes close to the T-mold; unfortunately.People hated their chips while they were open. That’s cool, BCC CDIs were also my chip gateway years ago … and ultimately led me here. Since joining, I’ve added a set of MGK BCCs that are on a completely different realm of existence over the CDIs, and I’d be baffled to read people trashing them, past or present.I had BCC CDI early 200s. Had no idea there was a Paulson leaded THC version until I joined this site.

What thread are we in, again?
This is what will save me a lot if money. I mostly play tournaments and already have a couple THC cash sets on the go. The hotstamps are cool but I'm not a huge fan of repeating spot patterns. It stinks for those trying to build tournament sets from the cash chips, but I would imagine the order quantities would reflect it best to build cash sets. Almost like a Chip Room sale in a way that the lower denoms will be much more plentiful than the $1k and up chips.
And totally get this. Makes sense. To be honest its a bit of a relief (for my wallet).Exactly this. Can’t exactly order racks and racks of cash $5k and $25k, comparable to quantities of $5s for example, without setting off even more alarm bells.
This is totally true! There was a bunch of QC issues right up to the end. I remember it being all over Chiptalk back then. It stopped myself and many others from ordering.People hated their chips while they were open. QC issues aside, the majority of people felt the feel of BC chips were inferior to any Paulson chips.
