This is totally true! There was a bunch of QC issues right up to the end. I remember it being all over Chiptalk back then. It stopped myself and many others from ordering.
It did not hold back Pasi to create those fantastic GCOP’s and plenty of limited (3th party) and private sets that used unique molds and/or the TRK color’s once they locked them down.

Im the first to admit there was a quality control issue at BCC and ordering was a crap shoot but when they got it right, you were left with a fantastic and unique set.

Much like TRK, there are few one stop shop BCC sets…but those that know how to value them right, take the time to build and work out the flaws.

I don’t disagree with your last statement, but my BCCs customs are great.
i do not recall many custom set problems
but I do recall QC was hit or miss in large GB's
mostly warpage & spinners
these were so bad i had to vise clamp and bake these in the oven
clamp, then: bake - tighten - repeat
they came out OK

bad pics (rt rack lineup: lt-pink, bone (missing closeup), maroon, sherbet, gold)
I forget the name of the mold
anyone know?

Not 100% sure about this but heard you need the following for a golden ticket:
Minimum 2300 messages
Minimum 3150 reaction score
Minimum 47 positive feedback
0 negative feedback
Been a member since the beginning but do not meet these numbers. I have very positive numbers just not that chatty. 0 negative feedback though.

No worries … what @Chipandchair said is factually incorrect

Custom problems for @AlbinoDragon and I think the beautiful Lady Luck Club come to mind. Also I dig this set but it has 3 different reds and off center giant inlays, it’s not custom however.

I think that was the rationale when it came to casino used chips, but don’t know of anyone who has purchased new RHC chips for home use and had major flea bite issues.

Most people back in the day just wanted real casino chips, and no one emphasized the mold until one day when THC was just deemed superior. Probably had a lot to do with the PCAs. Most of the OG chip sets were RHC.
Shaped inlays is a big plus for THC. Older that is of course, but still one of the things I love about them.
We’ve gone too long without pron. Maybe it’s time to crack some of these open and take some new pics

There's 4 Canary yellow chips in the lineup.. 1000 sounds like rookie numbers for a $5 and a T1k... fracs maybe? Or maybe the NVC? Please do open some boxes for a bit of fun.
