Also, I'd argue that those benefits were promised to you as a condition of your employment and belonged to you, not the company, so the company can't just wipe them away.

How do I even begin to investigate something like that? I don’t have a contract or anything like that.

Do you have paystubs that showed you had accrued vacation time? I'd argue that the accrued vacation time is yours, not theirs.

I can screen shot the fact that I have accrued vacation. Supposedly it’s a state-by-state legal thing. I’ll have to talk to an Iowa lawyer I know, I suppose.

My company (30 billion) did this in 2008, but let the employees “use it or lose it”…some tenured folks took the rest of the year off. Definitely bullshit.

Yeah, we we told on Monday. Giving us four months to “use it or lose it.” Just not enough time, especially considering a bunch of people will be taking the ERP offer.

This is 100% worth it. Its a frustrating step but the squeaky wheel gets the oil, those benefits and your hard work can vanish if you don't put up a fight. Very sorry this is happening. I have to ask, no worker's union?

I know American labor laws are garbage in a lot of states, but this is definitely worth chatting with a lawyer about to see if you have any options.

Hang in there. My wife dealt with breast cancer this year and handled it like a champ. She is cancer free and recovering well.
 
College I went. Many PTSD flashbacks especially begin of September every year to late November.

That’s why I started driving at 25. I got my license at 18, but I was too scared and felt I’m too young to take responsibilities.

Back then, I only drove to practice driving and get used to it. That’s it.

Now, getting to work/interview. Head to casino when I had a job. I’m a slow driver which is unusual in my age.
