2: Listing chips at ridiculously high prices, listing gets no action, and then marking them as “sold”
Seems fishy, like who paid that? Seems like market manipulation to show XYZ sold for excessively stupid pricing.

Completely understand this! My sister figured out she had Type 1 around that age too. Tons of responsibility, and the technology is frustrating. You can reach out to the customer service for the app/pump if you'd like to ask if there's any way to avoid that in the future? My 8 year old son has type 1 diabetes and when his blood glucose drops low he needs to have sugar right away or he could pass out and die. Kind of a big deal.
So we have an app that shows us his blood glucose numbers and notifies us when he’s low or high etc. Well last night my app decided not to notify me when he had an urgent low at 2am!!!
Luckily my son woke up and got a juice on his own so it was okay. But fuck, that could have been horrible!
I’m always the one who takes him a juice in the middle of the night because he’s young and still learning to take care of himself. It’s a lot for an 8 year old to handle.
I’m really proud of him for getting up even when he was tired and feeling weak from being low. But I’m also mad and scared being at the whim of technology maybe or maybe not working to keep my kid alive.
Ugh
I appreciate the camaraderie. I didn’t know how hard this was all gonna be. But man, it’s a lot of work mentally, physically and emotionally.Completely understand this! They've been very helpful in the past and really seem to empathize.I appreciate the camaraderie. I didn’t know how hard this was all gonna be. But man, it’s a lot of work mentally, physically and emotionally.
Good idea on reaching out, I’m gonna call now. I might be going back to the old system that’s a dedicated receiver instead of a phone so simplify.
Yes, they’re awesome! We donate to them always and my son went to their diabetic camp this summer and had a blast! They've been very helpful in the past and really seem to empathize.
Not sure if you're affiliated with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), but we're very happy supporting them and have been for decades. You're not alone! Tons of people and kids fight this, and its 100% bullshit and unfair but my sister is more of a badass because of it.
Bill Burr, the best ad reader.Podcasters who do enthusiastic live reads of their ads, acting like they genuinely love the product. We know what you’re doing and we’re going to skip through the ads either way, dink.
Nothwisthstanding that he sounds borderline literate when reading ads, YES!Bill Burr, the best ad reader.

On the subject of things that are bullshit: podcasts. Specifically, people who create their own ones nowadays thinking they're doing something original and revolutionary, when the format has been around for donkey's years now.Podcasters who do enthusiastic live reads of their ads, acting like they genuinely love the product. Sounds like you just got a topic for a series of Podcasts. On the subject of things that are bullshit: podcasts. Specifically, people who create their own ones nowadays thinking they're doing something original and revolutionary, when the format has been around for donkey's years now.
Thanks for the info. We’re working on getting him a closed loop system that will allow his Dexcom (glucose numbers) to communicate with his insulin pump. This will be a game changer and help avoid lows and highsLots of kids (and adults) do very well with a continuous subcutaneous insulin pump, if you have coverage for that sort of thing then it's worth checking out.

Very close lol. One of those things that look secure on paper I suppose.Looks like the code is 747. Nailed it.
Another reason to hate on Apple, yay! I'm already annoyed with all this AI stuff.Typing your password on a laptop at a coffee shop might be just as secure nowadays https://www.slashgear.com/1365673/ai-guess-typing-by-listening-explained/
I usually try not to type important passwords while on coffee shop wifi, but otherwise I agree!Typing your password on a laptop at a coffee shop might be just as secure nowadays https://www.slashgear.com/1365673/ai-guess-typing-by-listening-explained/

Text the group minus him and host yourself. At some point I just might have to sell everything. I think I'm cursed. Was looking forward to a game tonight, for almost 2 weeks. Host (my coworker) goes out last night and gets hammered. Cancels tonight's game. I even stayed up late finishing enough of my overlabels to get a playable set going.
Is this legal?with no compensation given for accrued PTO.
PTO just turned into TO and they effectively just gave everyone a pay cut. When the company you have worked for the past 23 years decides to go to an unlimited PTO plan, with no compensation given for accrued PTO. Effectively stealing almost $20,000 from me.
And the company is selling it as “good for both the employees and the company.”
Depends on the state you live in. We have employees in some states who will be paid their full PTO accrual, because state law requires it. But the vast majority of employees are getting the shaft. Is this legal?
Maybe there’s a way you can plead your caseOh, I almost forgot. I also missed the early retirement offer by two years. Kick me in the head. I wouldn’t have retired for good. But I would have left this bullshit and found another job. Will almost certainly start looking regardless.
The company officers fully acknowledge some people are getting screwed. Not in so many words, of course, but you have to read between the lines of what they are saying. The company employees are up in arms. We’re a billion+ dollar company, and this policy change takes about 8 million bucks off the balance sheet. Screwing over long-term employees for less than a one percent impact.Maybe there’s a way you can plead your case
