Harold's NY Deli in Edison? I had my wife go there with me for my Birthday about 8 years ago. It was just the two of us we ordered 2 Sandwiches and fries and coleslaw or Potato salad. It was enough to feed 2 baseball teams. She was shocked by the amount of food and told me we are never going there again. She said if I want to go with my friends have at it, but just not with her.

I just had Taystee sub with the wife this week. I was passing buy and got some. It is the best sub shop in the country hands down IMO. Last Superbowl Party I got the 6 foot sub from Taystee. Harold's Deli is a different kind of Sandwich stop all together. If you want Pastrami , Corned Beef, Smoked fish or NY style Jewish Deli Harold's is the place. What? Not Tastee Sub Shop, on Plainfield Avenue? Sacrilege!!!
Lol yep that's it. The boys love going here, but yeah its definitely either share or take leftovers home for the week. One of my poker players brought an eclair from there a couple of months ago, fed 15 guys and we still had half left over.

1. How long has Harold's existed?
2. How does it compare to Katz's in NY?
3. Has Rob Reiner's mother been there?
1. Harold's has existed for about 45 years in New Jersey. The only one to go to is in Edison. There is one Harold's in Lyndhurst that I used to work right down the road from, but it is not owned by the same owner now. It is subpar now and was good when the owner in Edison owned it.
2. Not sure I've never been to Katz's. I liked it better than the Carnegie Deli.
3. I don't about Rob Reiner's mother, but Adam Richman and Man vs. Food was there and it was featured in Food Paradise on the Travel Channel before.
