There are folks on PCF that have expressed similar sentiments, so it's not just a TCB vs PCF (or whoever) thing, though it's definitely in the minority on PCF but seemingly in the majority on TCB.I don't think this statement should go unchallenged either:
"As a Caribbean chip collector I find these Fakes to be offensive, they cheapen my collection and make it less likely that others will collect them knowing that there are fakes out there."
I call bullshit. Prove it. And asking two of your CCA BFFs their opinion is not proof.
I think "fake" or "commemorative" chips don't affect the singles market at all. And I think "fake" racks of chips make it MORE likely for set collectors to collect a set. As in PNY 25c and 50c chips, or Aztar Caruthersville $5 chips, or Aruba Palm Beach $1 chips.
my 2cts.
@Okku, Thank you for the videos!
The obvious answer is obvious... leave CCA behind... create a new club.
1. We already have a President. (Oscar, for those not paying attention)
2. A sizable Legal brain trust that can create whatever organization needed. (profit vs not for profit)
3. PCF has a massive pool of potential club members.
4. Countless creative techies that can come up with a website.
5. I'd be surprised if there are no organizers out there in PCF universe.
6. A roundtable of leadership with our meetup hosts
7. Enough opinions to help define a Club purpose.
8. A FORUM! Perhaps a PAID Club membership Forum?
9. The resources are here on PCF... just gotta tap into them.
10. Dealers will follow the money. (Should someone host a Convention or Extra-large Meetup)
Respectfully,
A collector of singles & sets.

Let’s not get carried away there. I don’t know that we’re quite *that* young.PCF average age: 42
ChipBored average age: (consults geologist)
I doubt it's the majority on TCB either, just the majority of people who post. Oscar got a whole lot of supporting messages there today, and just a few dissenters. There are folks on PCF that have expressed similar sentiments, so it's not just a TCB vs PCF (or whoever) thing, though it's definitely in the minority on PCF but seemingly in the majority on TCB.

I don’t know if it’s that’s simple. I’d support Oscar anywhere, especially given the way he was attacked. But I think copies stink. I guess that’s because my interest in the hobby is in genuine casino chips.I doubt it's the majority on TCB either, just the majority of people who post. I didn’t even know that was an option!
Citing the ChipGuide as the source of the images applies to wherever it is used,
@ChipGuide I saw your messages in this thread and wanted to help out with a small token of assistance in your quest to track down everyone using your images without appropriate attribution. I stumbled across this guy who hosts a public web page chock full of “wanted” chip pictures that, from the sampling of photos I checked, seem to have been obtained directly from the chip guide database. He appears to be one of your members but, incredibly, fails to make even one reference to “image courtesy of the chip guide” for any of the 80 or so images he has audaciously misappropriated from your database for his own personal use and benefit. Please put a stop to his blatant abuse of your rights as soon as you can.

share the thread. Lets get out our pitchforks!
My MySpace profile a better layout and that was 2006. Whats with these websites?!Oscar @Okku , your videos are fantastic and your contributions in furtherance of the hobby are unquestionably significant. You have nothing to apologize for, and certainly do not need to explain yourself to anyone on any forum, although it is admirable you took the time to do so. Keep up the great work!

Let me guess, his initials are EN. If that's who it is, he's 85 years old and he's doing good posting pictures on the chipboard...Guy on chipboard told me today mail him $5
He was afraid of PPF&F
Over $5
It’s like a 10% surcharge for me just for the envelope and stamp the PP FEE is better at that point
You can’t make this shit up over there

Has @ChipGuide identified himself yet? Did I miss it?
Does this person even have the authority and or authorization to speak for the ChipGuide??
Why the refusal to identify

Pretty sure @ChipGuide is the person who wrote all the code behind the ChipGuide. He often comes off wrong but he has donated literally thousands of hours to the project and without him, the ChipGuide would not exist in its current form. Cheers!
To refocus the thread: are we sure that's a TRK chip?
Yup. Just found that out about 10 minutes ago. Consider me surprised.
