Time for a cocktail! (10 Viewers)

I still can't wrap my head around substituting bourbon for vodka in this drink. If I'm going to do that I'm just going to have an old fashioned or drink it neat.

Substituting bourbon more or less turns this into a Gold Rush which is:

1.5-2.0 oz bourbon
0.75 oz lemon juice
0.75 oz honey syrup

Delicious and easy to make

I already knew I liked bourbon sidecars.

And this is pretty much that. Just so happens I like the ingredient ratios. A LOT.

Not sure how this is causing any consternation with anyone.
Meet me at SQM and I’ll explain why this is an amazing drink as I make you one.
By the 4th drink you will understand perfectly.

Found a drink that is served up by Disney of all places, although theirs is frozen and you can recreate on rocks - Lemonade and Fireball. It's like candy, and is just as unhealthy.

Lousy old fashioned at the casino, but it was free. :p

Instant eggnog!

2 oz high proof bourbon (I used WT 101)
1 oz amaretto
0.25 oz rich simple syrup (or 0.5 oz regular SS)
1 egg

Mix and dry shake about 15 seconds, then add ice and shake just until chilled - don't over-dilute!

Strain into a glass and add milk or half-and-half to taste. Top with freshly grated nutmeg.

Years ago I had a "bourbon milk punch" and loved it.
