Time for a cocktail! (5 Viewers)

I have never had a Manhattan, lol. I bought this specifically for that reason. Recipe suggestions?

2.5 oz Rittenhouse Rye (or something else not too herbal and at least 100 proof)

.75 oz Carpano

2-3 dashes Angostura bitters

Garnish with a Luxardo or Amarena Fabbri cherry.

Stir until ice cold.

The area code for Manhattan is 212, which makes it easy to remember the base recipe:

2oz rye whiskey or high rye bourbon
1oz Carpano Antica
2 dashes Angostura bitters

Start with this, then adjust to your taste.

Tasty! I want to try it with Willet and maybe Makers 46 cask strength next time?
I took the big bottle of Carpano back and exchanged for the small bottle. I didn't realize vermouth goes bad so quickly. Also, went with the Luxardos this time. Although, I think I prefer the Fabbri Amarenas. Cheers! Thanks for the tips!

Oh yeah, the stainless steel cocktail picks are on the way (4 & 6 inch). I can't believe I didn't have those!

I love Pikesville for cocktails. Cheers!

I was drinking St. Germain cocktails last night and was surprised how refreshing they were. Perfect way to settle the stomach after a Beef Wellington.

2oz St. Germain Liqueur
2oz Prosecco
1.5 oz club soda

Stirred in a Collins glass and garnished with a lemon peel.

Perfect Martini (Gin).

Next time I'll make the lemon twist bigger as I enjoyed it more when I got to the bottom of the glass.

My wife asked for a drink, but not an old fashioned. So I through this together, and damn is it good.

I muddled fresh ginger slices with orange bitters. Added ice, vodka, contreau, lemon juice, and simple syrup. I had to "stir" vs "shake" because my soon to be DIL borrowed my bartending equipment.

I strained it, and added it to a frosted glass. It may now be a favorite drink of Colleens. It was very good!

I may have to put you on bartender duty for a round when you are down here in March.
