Time for a cocktail! (5 Viewers)

Can’t find my old recipe.

Winging it for a sidecar

Ok. 1st was great but missing simple syrup

I remember now I modified Bills lemon drop cocktail to bourbon.

Round 2 ( with simple syrup and better proportions)

2oz bourbon
1oz Cointreau
1.5oz fresh lemon juice
1oz simple syrup
Dash of orange bitters

Have a head cold and minimal ingredients so I’m improvising

2oz Bourbon
1/2oz black currant liquor
2 luxardo cherries and little bit of the syrup

Stir with ice.

Not bad

Manhattan with my last luxardo cherry and my last bottle of carpano antica is 1/2 gone :|

Apparently both ingredients are "on the boat" when I ask around...

Vodka Blush.jpg

Vodka Blush

2 1⁄2 ounces vodka
3⁄4 ounce fresh lime juice
1 dash grenadine

Fill shaker 2/3 with fresh ice.
Go light on the grenadine, it's more like a few drops. Maybe 1/4 tsp?. Look at the picture, it's very pale.
Add ingredients.
Shake and strain into chilled cocktail glass.

Another Manhattan with the rye instead of bourbon.

Easily my favorite cocktail!

Maybe it's apocryphal, maybe I remember the quote incorrectly, but I recall hearing/reading once that a proper Manhattan is made with rye as "no Yannkee would have a drink made with that southern whiskey."

I have a love/hate relationship with this thread. Not that I need reason, but it makes me want to make damn near every drink people post here. :ROFLMAO:

I just use this style and it seems to do well.

I'm afraid if I get anything easier, I might start drinking these all the time.
There is something weirdly satisfying about pulling the handle on the big press and looking forward to the tasty beverage that will assuredly ensue.

Isn’t today’s choice obvious?View attachment 906720Absent from the pic are the brave limes that sacrificed their lives so I could make a proper margarita!

My blue agave expired in 2020, lol. I dropped a sugar cube in instead. Not as good, but It'll do. I've got Don Julio Silver, Grand marnier, 1/2 lime, splash of water, and a salt/tajin rim. Happy CInco de Mayo!

I just looked…my blue agave expired a few months ago lol

It’s still a great margarita!

I used the Cabo anejo because the only other bottle of tequila I currently have is a private barrel Don Julio extra anejo and I refuse to use that in a mixed drink…REFUSE!
