I actual quite like the inlays on this set of chips, a big thumbs up from me! While I love the edge spots, I would like to see a bit more variation/progression, but that's personal preference. All in all, a really nice set. 500 or 25000 the favorites for me.

I’m gonna jump in and say that I actually really like those colour choices and inlay, though I can see that they wouldn’t be to everyone’s tastes.

It’s a circus theme, bright and colourful is the way to go.

Plus they are oversized, which is always a win.

Hey guys, keep in mind that there are designers on this site who may have had a hand in these. some of their feelings might be really hurt right now.

You need to understand that we tried to do some really cool designs. One of them was a Disney logo, but instead of Mickeys head, we substituted a chicken head. Unfortunately we were told that this too closely resembled an inlay from one of their South African Casino clients.

As someone who's handled 3/4 and seen all the images of 4/4 of the sets - but own none and had no involvement in any of it, I can only agree with those who have previously stated that the inlay and colours are a little "off" on what has been posted so far. These guys had a once in a lifetime chance at custom paulsons (the holy grail of holy grails) and they went with deeply personal designs and themes.

Surely they could have copied some existing chips or themes or come up with some generic off the shelf casino to appeal to the drooling masses.

When I open up my card room in North Pole and order 1M chips, I hope you're still around for consulting services ...and there will be no pooping bear, parrot, parakeet or penguins. On a serious note, once the Paulson design tool is back up and running, I will be mocking up some chips for potential future GB/not-GB....help?

It would be amusing to come up with an epic generic design, find out order numbers and see what ridiculous number comes out of it.

The funny part is that if you went full gb, too many funds would be tied up in sets that won’t sell because everyone is trying to sell to fund the order.

Would they refuse an open and upfront order of 300,000-500,000 chips? Probably, but I’d still be interested for someone to openly commence discussions with them and share the response.

It would certainly help people understand the secretive nature of the buys (and maybe repair some of the damage) if in the worst case something like that was shot straight down, but shared for all to see. Best case I works.

Seems like a win win plan to me.
