What do people look for in a custom playing card? (3 Viewers)

You may consider having different distributors fo r USE and Europe

Thanks xdan. If you get time, could you upload a picture of the face versus other cards? This would give an idea of the colors and PIP size and position. No need to label them as I did.

Thanks very much for showing that! The new card is very grey compared to the others and seeing the suit of your hole cards requires you to bend more of the card up with these cards than many others. Minor issues, most people won't care at all about either. I like the fact that the PIP is narrow. If you are playing Omaha and have to see four cards, not as big of a fan required.

The lineup above illustrates just a couple of reasons why I love Fournier cards, PIPS up high in the corner, and yellow box in the middle!

I think the fact that you avoided internal borders on your cards save the face cards will mean they will be less resistant to immediate fading. I'd order some =)

I doubt there is any relation...

The first thing that fades on a card face are the internal border lines. Every single time.

Modiano PA
Copag Unique
Slowplay
Bullets
Da Vinci Ruote

These are the 2 -deck sets we've used in our games and each time the first sign of fading comes from those thin black lines.

You could get at least an extra 5 hour session from a deck of cards without them.

I know this is a minor thing but I'm the one who pays for the cards in our games so it's become a thing for me.

So some of you might have seen the sale thread for Kings cards from Australia.
I have an opportunity for a group buy of 1000 custom decks.
500/500 with 2 different colour backs.

the cards will be Bridge size only.
The front will be jumbo index as shown.

i wouldn't mind doing something with large suit for each of the aces.

you will probably notice that they look similar to the angel playing cards.

i am yet to design a back for these cards or the jokers.

any input would be great.

Lastly, what would people expect to pay for a single deck if custom designed cards?

I much prefer standard size. What I look for in a deck is the stock. I really only purchase from USPCC.

Hey everyone.
I am looking to get some opinions on the custom cards.
As I only have 3 decks, I’m splitting one deck into 4 suits. So 4x 13 card sample sets

@Perthmike will get one
@surfik will get one if I can get a package into Poland.

Looking for 2 more. I’ll cover shipping.

Just need feedback on feel And texture, print colour and thickness.

I’m close to organising a purchase of 2000 decks, which will be poker size due to demand locally.

Ideally I want 2000 bridge decks as well, in 2 colours.

Each design is an MOQ of 1000

I'll take one! Also, I would give each person some of each suit so they can all see the red colors, and the shape of the spades, etc.

If I may offer some input. I would suggest random selection of the cards. I like to know the contrast of black and white but also have chance te get opinion on red ink.. "security or regular"...and finaly there will be no argument who gets the Ace of Spades. But in the end I settle for what I get. Beggers can not be choosers

@Perthmike package sent.
@surfik australia post won’t ship to Poland. Sorry mate.
@Geremie and @RocAFella1 auspost have shut off their international economy service. I can only send via parcel which is like $35au. This is only due to covid. I’ll wait and see when they will switch economy back on. Previously it would only cost less than $10

Can you send via lettermail? Just use some thicker paper and tape it up. It should hold up.
For letter mail, they still charge package rates.
I got some off to rocafella but it cost $23au.
he might be able to re-ship. I enclosed a $5 bill to cover the first reship costs. Not sure how much it is from USA to Canada though.

I might add the hex codes to give people a better idea on their computer.

The one feedback that I would give is that the heart in the PIP seems really long. I prefer to not have to bend a card up too far when identifying a suit when peeking. As far as your questions, I strongly prefer darker black brightest red, and slightly prefer the lighter font for the writing.

need opinions please:
which black?
which red?
which font?

Black on the right.

I'll go against the grain. Red on the far left. I'd try to get a red as close to security ink used by Fournier/Modiano/casino cards as possible.

The font on black on the right and the font on the right of all of the red cards is the same, right? I like that font.

That’s nuts! I can mail a letter to Aus for $2.71

I prefer the jet black and bright red. Super easy to distinguish and I feel pops more on the card. Especially with a bright white background.
