What video games are you playing? (26 Viewers)

I'd wait for Hogwarts to come down in price, if it hasn't already. The problem with H.L. is that it's good for at most two playthroughs. Hardly anybody is making content for it anymore, they have all moved on, because, well, it's all been made. Ignore everything I said if they come out with a top notch DLC, though.

Good points. Definitely waiting for a price drop! Might even just hold off until Black Friday this year and hopefully snag it for like $30 or less

I see it’s on G2A for $36.25.
I’ve used G2A multiple times in the past without issue. I just make sure I’m buying from someone with a high success rate and lots of sales.

THANKS INTERNET! (for the Steam Summer Sale)

My wife and I started playing It Takes Two. We usually don't play well together, but for whatever reason, we have been really enjoying this one.

I didn't realized it had reached release. Will probably have it downloaded by the end of the night. I wasted countless hours playing balders gate 1 its expansion and #2+expansion.

Again PCF leads to further expenses..........

I'm holding off cause I can't get obsessed with that timesink right now

Thankfully steam forgot my credit card information and I my wallet is not beside me.

Self control, self control.... It will be cheaper later, have bugs corrected and or a special edition/complete edition with all downloadable content....

I have a backlog of games anyway

Those who bought Baldur's Gate: How is it? I also played the first two on console 20(?) years ago. Not sure if I'd like turn based combat though. Never got into those.

I'm still playing COD MWII. Getting more into Cold War Zombies lately though, it's so addictive.

My 12yo bought Diablo 4 and has expressed some disappointment. I figure they will fix it, we'll see. I will buy it when the price comes down a bit.

Same! It's meant for that; can't progress without wifey learning to double jump lol.

Just started The Quarry. Loving it so far!

It's fantastic. Larian took their time developing this and it shows. The possibilities on what to do every combat are endless. The companion stories are well developed and the amount of voicework is crazy because just about every NPC willl at least have a line or two when spoken too. I'm about 50 hours in and just getting into Act II. I never played any other BG games or tabletop D&D but I did play Divinity OS2 and if you liked that one you are in for another great experience. This turn based combat isn't what you are probably thinking when turn based comes to mind as you have 100s of options what to do versus the traditional: attack, item, or heal.

My wife games, so it's not been a huge issue. She isn't much of a platformer player though. So there was still a little bit of a learning curve. But she's played enough action rpgs that it wasn't a big deal.

I mainly just play single player games now. I got the new Dead Space remastered game for the PS5 and it looks amazing in an oled tv

Wizardry: the five ordeals. I was a huge wizardry fan in the 80s and 90s and loved the first 5 games. This feels so similar to those it’s amazing. It’s pretty much a text based DnD style game…dungeon crawling at its best. Definitely not for everyone but I absolutely love it :)

Just ordered Killzone Trilogy on PS3.
I only played the 1st one back in the days of PS2.

How’s the new Zelda compared to breath of the wild?

It's huuuuuge. Given the world is similar to BOTW and you're already familiar enough from all the previous game exploration, its almost overwhelmingly huge. There is so much to (potentially) do. Overall, it has a bit of a different feel: BOTW was largely a wasteland and felt almost barren at times. I found that game was all about raw exploration, climbing distant mountains, fighting the occasion foe - you were often alone without anything but the wild around you. The TOTK world is much more lively and dense, you have more interaction with people and monsters, almost constantly in some spots, and the new abilities you have require lots more interaction. And I'm still figuring out wtf is up with all the zonai charge stuff.

Huge. And hugely fun :)

I bought Jedi Survivor, but still need to get a PS5 so I can play it. Trying to hold out to see if a refresh/PS5 Pro is coming out before I buy one.

Tbh the "video game" I've played the most recently is definitely tabletop simulator  :ROFLMAO:

For more typical video games the big one for me for the past 9 years has been Destiny / Destiny 2, but it's something that's kinda been in and out for me. I'm sure there's a bunch of other stuff I could have fun playing but finding the energy to actually play something new and let myself get invested can be hard sometimes.

Messing around in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Feels like the devs mostly got a huge influx of cash initially and then started doing the bare minimum.

It's a fun battle simulator at least, but still needs a bunch of polish after being out of EA for years now. Still find it fun to slog through sieges and field battles, and there's a number of mods out there I still need to try, including a Realm of Thrones (game of thrones style) one
