You wont see a community of you arnt actively involved in the community. And being actively involved takes more then buying chips and posting your own porn. It has nothing to do with "you" when it comes to community.

@Josh Kifer are you forgetting that WW has already run a cool and generous giveaway? You don't think posting awesome chip pr0n inspires and helps build the community too? Or finding epic undiscovered chipsets? I think you made that comment a little bit too casually.

Eh. I don't think so. But to each there own. My definition isn't everyone's, but these kinda undying blowups over an angry emoji then bashing said community is the exact opposite of the goal.

But to answer your question.... no, posting your finds and chips nonstop does not build a community in my mind. We all post our crap and it's apart of our enjoyment, but it's alot more then that at the end of the day.

Community has less to do about "my stuff" and more about the general banter in my opinion. But again, my definition isn't everyone's. It's my mine. I'm Chaos Neutral, so I just get to post memes and gifs when shit hits the fan.

Edit - I've always said we are a family of 2000. And in that, it doesn't mean we always get along daily. That's impossible by the dynamic. Yes, in having that large of a family, there will always be fractions and groups... But when someone actively bashes and states it's not a community, that gets me salty. In the end, we all live and die together in this group.

@Marhault and I went a few rounds of bickering when he joined up, but it didn't stop him from PMing me asking about chip design and advise, and our friendship grew from there. In the end, the division was nothing we didn't figure out and grew from. I don't even remember why we bickered.... maybe I needed a snickers.

And a few might say what I do during these doesn't help, but I try and always lighten the mood with trolling until I get sassy. Then I'll actually start up. It's my process. This feels like the "friend" you had when you were a kid that would get livid when he didn't like what was happening and would take his toys with him and not let anyone play with them. And we are better then that. People can do with what they want, and if that's the plan.. cool. But posting it with private PMs over a literal non-issue when the other party was using ... Dare I say it, Grace and respect is just not gonna fly with me.

You have to realize at some point that you’re in the minority of people when trying to defend this kind of behavior. I don’t ever recall cool giveaways and finding cool things ever awarding you with a “GO FUCK YOURSELF” card. Not sure why it would be logical for someone to think otherwise. If we’re playing that kind of childish game, then perhaps the thousands of dollars people have saved as a result of my reshipping help awards me with that very card. I should then be running around doing this,

Just want to clarify that I’m neither a “hater” or “complainer.” I feel as though I’ve been very supportive of this member and this thread. I don’t think it’s appropriate what was done by @Windwalker last night. Does this forum have any standards anymore? Posting private texts and PMs is ok?

It doesn’t matter who the member is, what was done was wrong and no one in charge stepped up to address the situation. I would personally call out ANY member who acted in the way that this member did last evening.

It is shameful some of the going’s on I see happening here in more recent weeks and months, but I can’t help to think that much of it has been brought on mostly by one’s own actions. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such insecurities displayed by a member of this forum, displayed in the manner they were last evening.
It’s pretty pathetic IMO.

I am not calling out anyone specifically. I made a general comment and just wish all would just get back to chipping.
 
While I have everyone’s attention, and because I know everyone is on edge with anticipation, just wanted to let everyone know that my @Gear labels are scheduled to arrive on the 5th. The matching dealer buttons came today! The Animal House 2.0 reveal is right around the corner!!! Get pumped people!! These chips will have a face very soon!!
