Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (13 Viewers)

He meant the Dodgers, not the chips. We’re claiming sports teams for cities we live in, because sports is the great leveler, and the great divider. :)

Of course, LA does what LA does… don’t have a team? Let’s just buy one. Wait, maybe two. Because what’s better than a Ram? A Charger.
How are the dodgers from Brooklyn? Is that where the baseball team originally was located?

How many lakes does LA have?

Could this be the prettiest Cali Hundo in existence? o_O

Prefer an IHC, but that THC is HOT:

Chargers. Meh. You can keep them.

I’m still bitter about the Clippers (Buffalo - SD - LA)

As some of you know, I’ve been working on a Malibu Beach relabel project for a while, to serve as the main cash set at my beachhouse tables, and the key has been to find “beachy” vibe chips, while maintaining some sense of spot progression — which has been near impossible to do.

I’m finally at a point where I’m somewhat happy with a draft. The main issue here is the flow from 2v2w to 3d14 and then to 4w. However, the chips themselves are so perfect for the theme, that I’ve been willing to overlook that issue.

The inlay/label in the mock-up is draft, at best. Just wanted something common to see how it looked. Comments welcome!

Something like this in your $1 might help with progression.

Thanks! I love each of the chips for the theme so much. The other issue was moving from a traditional purple to a pink for the $25, but that felt thematic as well.
you made the right call not going with a black 20, that would have never worked.

I agree the pink instead of a purple might be a bit tilting. Maybe a lavender or one of the light purples could have worked, but the spots probably wouldn't. Best use of that pink chip I've seen yet.

The general public will love the colors, but I don't think many chippers will love that spot progression. My personal opinion - the fiver looks way out of place, progression-wise.
(But spot progression isn't really a thing, so there's that)

dropping the existing $1 to the stra $1 makes more sense from a less to more complicated progression, for sure, but losing the yellow on that $1 I don't think is worth it.

I agree that a 2v would just look sad in this lineup.

love the chips. Get J5 to do your inlay. He’s the best there is.

They say that too many cooks spoil the broth, so I guess I'll throw in my ingredients too and say that I'd love to see a purple $25 as well. as t500 or est500 would be sweet.

Cool set though

I think the $1 and $25 could be better. I like @Rbonus012 suggestion. But I love everything else. Maybe it’s just that spot pattern. I would love to see the Viva Las Vegas .50 instead for your $25.

Do you mean the VLV $50, with the 4ta spot pattern? I don’t even remember seeing a $0.50

The AS T500 is an interesting thought. You don’t see that chip in a lot of relabels.
