It should be said that TRK did make racks of "replica" chips. They probably made the Kings Crown version 2 chips in the 90s. But that casino never opened. They also made the sets of hot stamped El Rancho large crown chips, but in the 1980s well after the casino burned down, and they didn't copy anything that already existed.
The Kings Crown replicas (or "tributes") are clearly distinguishable from the originals though. The real ones have shaped inlays and have that old school leaded feel, and the reproductions look far more modern, more like the Deadwoods and TRK Rounders (when TRK chips started to be somewhat meh, in my opinion). Also, they had basic round inlays in the later sets. I believe someone commissioned these though if memory serves me correctly. Someone wanted to make a tribute set and they allowed it since the casino was defunct. TRK had lost its Nevada license by that point though anyhow.
