Phil did not have his "I am going to eat this game alive" face on. Looked bored most of the time.Gross. That was a pretty brutal last 30 minutes for you, Krish. Hopefully you can take some positives away from this weekend and come back stronger and even more disciplined! On another note, Phil Ivey sure doesn't like to stick around very long at all, does he? A bit anti-climatic given all the build-up.
That's not quite how the hand played out. It wasn't a check raise and Reza didn't flat. Also I don't think its that crazy of a check raise with a pair and a gut shot. Lucky has been betting 20k bluffs and then folding. Raza calling the 20k could be a AJ,KJ,JJ,77,TJ all that have fold equity.
I would have been more worried about Raza than Lucky, and with Krish/Raza history it adds a dynamic.
That was really disappointing for me. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there at all. Someone in chat joked that Ivey was just looking to play the bare minimum and just hold on to the invitation money. I have no idea if he received invitation money but either case the optics weren't good (not like he seems to care).I've actually lost some respect for Ivey - agreeing to this massive stream, having the team promote it, and then both nights stay for two hours and then leave. It's just not considerate given the situation.
Hes at electric daisy carnival like almost everyone else in the world atm.Esfandiari?
It’s always interesting to me how people interpret the pros networking to get invites to high stakes games with recreational as being super cool or nice guys. It’s not that they aren’t nice or cool but of course they’re going to be amicable. That was really disappointing for me. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there at all. Dwan on the other hand seems like a really cool dude. He looked exhausted (did he fly in from somewhere that day?) but trooped on and engaged in conversation. He even suggested to Krish they exchange info and keep connected. That's cool as hell.
Especially given all the BS he was spouting in the pre-game interview about how he was really happy to be back, loved playing there, looking forward to the game, blah blah blah. The guy is bored out of his mind when he can't have his phone and sweat sports bets and who knows what else.I've actually lost some respect for Ivey - agreeing to this massive stream, having the team promote it, and then both nights stay for two hours and then leave. Not sure if we're talking about the same scenario but I was just recalling the exchange between Tom and Krish when they were talking about music festivals and restaurants. That was pretty chill to see/hear is what I'm saying. It’s always interesting to me how people interpret the pros networking to get invites to high stakes games with recreational as being super cool or nice guys. I've heard Krish complain about how crappy the chips are on the stream before...
That may be the case but I'm sure someone here is already plotting on creating a cardmold replica.I've heard Krish complain about how crappy the chips are on the stream before...
Comments are fully justified.

Maybe I'm naive, maybe you're cynical, maybe both, but regardless, that whole idea makes me sadDon’t get me wrong, id go with dwan to a music festival if I was into that sort of thing, but when his most vivid memory of live music is a killers concert from 2008 I’m thinking his motives for exchanging numbers may be something other than the music.
Just a little hustlin’ at the hustler.
Ha, that very well may be true. But I'm sure Krish can handle himself from that point on. I like to believe Krish gets hit up to join games all the time and he knows how to discern when people want to take advantage of him or just want to be friendly.Don’t get me wrong, id go with dwan to a music festival if I was into that sort of thing, but when his most vivid memory of live music is a killers concert from 2008 I’m thinking his motives for exchanging numbers may be something other than the music.

I never realized they were Paulsons! They’d actually be pretty nice without those godawful supersized inlays.I've heard Krish complain about how crappy the chips are on the stream before...

I’d be curious if invite money was involved, and if so how much. Top name guys are going to want $ because they pull in the eyeballs on the stream. Honestly it didn’t do that much for me. No big plays. I mean, calling an all in pre with AK is just normal kind of stuff. The better plays happen when players know each other and can get into leveling wars. That’s why it is hysterical when Garret bluffs Nick off monsters, or makes a crazy lay down against AndySomeone in chat joked that Ivey was just looking to play the bare minimum and just hold on to the invitation money.
Yup. The meta games between Garret and Gal, Garret and Andy, Krish and Julie, etc are why I watch. Ivey was a big let down. Dylan, Lucky, and Mikki were easy money. I'm glad Krish was able to take advantage of this on night one. Mikki was at least somewhat entertaining, but the first two came off as tools, to be honest, though I'm still supportive of Dylan against Rondo, screw that guy. Give me Reza and Dr. Eli over those guys. They give lots of action and at least give the vibes that they're having fun even if they're really not. Ivey just looked miserable. Dylan was cringe, and Lucky is an angle shooter.I’d be curious if invite money was involved, and if so how much. Top name guys are going to want $ because they pull in the eyeballs on the stream. I'm not mad at him, just observing that he was the equivalent of a wet paper bag both nights. Totally disinterested and not engaged in the game. Krish's explanation that he had a couple of huge sports bets on the line explains a lot of it.Why is everyone mad at Ivey again? I’m kinda confused.
I beg to differ.Tsk tsk Krish, B&G chips are injection-molded plastics, not ceramics.
I've seen this from Ivey before. He's just not all that considerate. And yeah, Dwan was a class act. That was really disappointing for me. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there at all.
