Windwalker on Hustler Casino Live?!?!?!?!?!? (4 Viewers)

I’d be curious if invite money was involved, and if so how much. Top name guys are going to want $ because they pull in the eyeballs on the stream. Honestly it didn’t do that much for me. No big plays. I mean, calling an all in pre with AK is just normal kind of stuff. The better plays happen when players know each other and can get into leveling wars. That’s why it is hysterical when Garret bluffs Nick off monsters, or makes a crazy lay down against Andy

Only saw the first couple of hours (so far), but I agree... Dwan and Ivey didn't add much to the stream in terms of action.
Ivey in particular was just an uninterested body. Dwan was not the Dwan of old

Yup. The meta games between Garret and Gal, Garret and Andy, Krish and Julie, etc are why I watch. Ivey was a big let down. Dylan, Lucky, and Mikki were easy money. I'm glad Krish was able to take advantage of this on night one. Mikki was at least somewhat entertaining, but the first two came off as tools, to be honest, though I'm still supportive of Dylan against Rondo, screw that guy. Give me Reza and Dr. Eli over those guys. They give lots of action and at least give the vibes that they're having fun even if they're really not. Ivey just looked miserable. Dylan was cringe, and Lucky is an angle shooter.
That Dylan guy was super cringe. Anyone know his background? Just some rich dude?

What's Lucky's story? Other than having 5 kids back in Chicago? His constant angling was annoying. I was really hoping to see him get stacked by Garrett.

I've seen lots of High Stakes Poker/Poker After Darks episodes that featured whale types, but never anybody with the combination of poor poker skills and lack of concern for money that we saw from Lucky. He and Berkey knew each other, and I have to think Berkey made sure the show brought him on, only to have the guy tear the place up.

Whales can still fuck you up. Just ask Ishmael.

He mentioned his name on the interview on HCL twitter page, said it was Lennar. (Lucky)

I flew to vegas in late 2019 on a packed flight, and the guy next to me was Dylan Gang, along with his entourage in a couple other seats. He was offering every first class pax cash for their seat, to no avail. It was cringey. Cabin crew were not amused and sent him packing to sit next to me. Dressed in a matching track suit ensemble. We ended up chatting for a while. He was flying directly to vegas after a 2-day, no-sleep poker bender at an underground NYC club, and was going immediately to one of the streamed whale games at the Aria. No idea where he got his roll (definitely not a rich guy—more like a “Strong Island” or Southie type). I watched his game at the Aria, and he didn’t exactly strike me as a real pro. Might have balls of steel, but made a bunch of donk moves and was hemorrhaging chips.

I thought I saw on the Friday stream that he was "CEO of 345", but that doesn't check out on the web

More Dylan, Reza, Lucky, Krish, Dwan, Garret, Berky

Drop the dead weight Ivey

Entire mood at the table changed when he got up. I’ve seen other streams where just his demeanor infects the table.

Is he an ‘ok dude’ don’t know. Don’t care. Basing opinion on observation alone

Dwan made a good point about the high stakes games he plays in where you have to massive nit to play. Everyone has everything solved and plays like a robot.
The line up last night had all capable players but the action was HOT !!

Degens assemble !!

Table talk was great. Yeah some cringe. Some boring.
But that’s life at a relaxed poker table.
Stayed up till 2 am. Would never normally do that for a Holdem stream

Hustler Live need to invest in better acoustics. Like someone said earlier. The din of the main room was annoying and the commentators over talking the table talk was brutal

Other than that. Pretty good. Love the no phone policy too

Also…

Setting the hands after the flop is Lazy SoHe

And yes I’d play Dwan 50/100 pot limit circus game.

Seeking backers for ( selling 100% of my action)

If somebody had told me beforehand that Matt Berkey would be the pro who pushed the action the hardest, I would never have believed it. Dwan had a big night, but like half of it was that one hand where all the money went in pre with AKs.

And you could have told me about how hard Lucky worked Garrett over after it happened, and I would still need to see some of the hands again.

For a lot of cash game players their entire session comes down to one or two crucial hands in my experience that make or break it for them.
Of course. But in the past, Dwan was Mr. Action. Last night, of the pros, Berkey was the guy making stuff happen. Garrett gave lots of action, but he was just in survival mode as he tried to deal with the denial that somehow he got screwed again.

Made an incredibly silly mistake and am sick about it.

I had to leave the stream at 8pm to get to dinner, and started playing more and more hands. I was up against lucky and Reza with Q8, and a board came down of 8 9 10 rainbow.

I made a small bet, Lucky raised like he usually does, reza reraised. I didn’t think through the hand properly, but both felt like bluff moves, and with one paid and the gut shot, I made a move to push all in.

Unfortunately, they both hand JQ.

It was a terrible, terrible play because I was in a hurry to leave, and my lesson is learned.

I will say that until then, I was hanging in there with the best of them and felt good about a lot of things I did. Sometimes, one hand just fucks you.

Ugh.

At least you are being realistic about what happened. I actually thought you played pretty well Friday and even better Saturday until the end even though your +- was better on Friday. To me it proves the work is paying off. Just got to avoid the lapses here and there...that's why Garrett etc are pro's...they minimize the lapses. Garrett lost the most money Saturday...but he avoided losing a lot more IMO. He was put in tough spot after tough spot...but even he would admit some mistakes I'm sure. Even "Lucky" guys get a hand sometimes.

Dwan was not the Dwan of old
I’ve seen Dwan play a few times in the past year or so, and he’s definitely not playing the same, seemingly crazy big balls game he used to play. It’s possible he’s just getting older, but I think it’s more likely that those tactics just plain worked better

I'm sure he'd adopt that style in a spot where it works, but not in this lineup. Just look at how different Garrett had to play.
