Is the er17 as good as wlw? When I first tried wlw I was blown away. It was beyond anything I had tried since then and it was on another level. There was nothing I tried that was even close to it. Since then I’ve had a few pours of stuff that I might put in the same circle but still nothing as good as wlw. I need to know if er17 is as good or better.

Historically no but I haven’t had the recent iterations of either.

Different beast. WLW is barrel proof, and ER17 is 101 proof. Very different flavor profiles, but both excellent. ER17 seems to be the rarer of the two, and definitely easier to drink. Does it merit the insane secondary premium? I don’t think any of them do, but it is what it is.

But how was that willett. I’m a willet whore. Its profile is so unique and unlike any other bourbons. I have 4 yr, 6yr, 8 yr. I would love some of the more aged and especially a silver top. But I’m dreaming.

I really like this one. You can tell because it’s almost half empty. Most of my bottles are only a pour or 2 short
