1-2 nlhe Home game hand (1 Viewer)

This is a home game, so it being 1-2 could be a much worse or much better caliber player than casino 1-2. But if we can assume a similar level of play to casino 1-2, in my experience you're not leaving a lot of value on the table playing very straightforward when you are multiway. People just aren't paying attention to your action and are just playing their own cards. I don't mind your bet since you are very likely ahead given the action. But in my view you're risking getting called or check raised by monsters (albeit unlikely, though not 0% especially vs 2 passive villains who don't sound very savvy) for the upside if charging draws that may miss. I personally would rather sacrifice that value on the turn to be in a very defined river spot where, yes, the draw might come in but will most likely be very obvious and I have an easy decision. Or I may either induce a bluff that doesn't add up and I can easily call, may get one more street from a marginal had that doesn't believe me who would have folded on the turn, or have a small chance of boating up vs a flush and taking a big pot. I am going to try and run some equities on the turn decision but in-game I would have checked and felt like I had a much more defined river decision. If the table is tougher I fully admit this could be much worse, but I try and only play against fish who make it easy on me!

I see where you're coming from. TBF I'm assuming a home game is going to be generally less tough than a casino game, and these villains in particular don't sound very tough.

I would advocate a turn bet because we are either going to run into a monster at the river if another draw comes in, or we aren't going to get value from a hand that missed. I'd rather fire the turn and check back pretty much all rivers, except the obvious A or 6. This way we dont leave value on the table, and we might actually induce a check on the river from a monster if they are inclined to attempt to check raise.
