What is the “deluxe plastic acetate” that is mentioned like? Sounds interesting. Is there another option like that? Acetate does make me worry about warpage but nothing feels better IMO.

I tried that once and lost a LOT of money that night. For some reason, the other players always seemed to know what my cards were.

You've played with bridge?

Admittedly I have large palms and short fingers, so bridge are easier to handle for me. Still I don't see how having larger hands and moving from poker to bridge size would be too detrimental, just easier to handle.

I have tried bridge size after reading so many comments here about bridge being easier to shuffle, handle, etc..
After trying them, my personal preference remains with the legion - poker size.

The bridge size cards just felt too narrow after using the poker size for so long.
It's ironic that I am often the default shuffler of cards too (using standard casino riffle/strip).

I've used both poker and bridge in my last few home games. I'm in the camp where I just don't care about the card size. If the cards and chips and players and bourbon are quality, life is just grand.

I guess bridge vs poker is just one of those things that people will always have differing opinions about and so you should decide based on what will sell the best to your overall market. Maybe that's what you are doing by asking the forum if blackjack index being poker size is a deal-breaker. How about another poll?

By the way @Schmendr1ck I'm just tagging you to say i'm actually moving to Orlando for a new job so maybe if you know of any good home games you could let me know?

It would be interesting to know the breakdown of sales across poker v bridge and jumbo v regular index. Not sure if that’s giving too much intel away @desjgn but I’m sure we’d all be interested...

If I’m not mistaken, other than the kick starter and the casino decks he only produced one series of Bridge sized for public purchase.

If you are marketing to poker enthusiasts, I think bridge is the way to go. That’s what is used at casinos and what many long time players (and most dealers) find the easiest to handle. It’s the gaming industry standard for poker.

If you are marketing to the general public, than poker size. Most Americans only know of poker sized cards because that is what you can buy at the drug store, etc.

The best scenario would be to have both verisions of the same design as found with large manufacturers. But I imagine that would be a big undertaking for a small producer.

Maybe youre right about bridge for enthusiasts, but there has been some clamor for poker size on here also, so I agree with you having the design (DESJGN?!) available in both bridge and poker with all colours and whatnot is the perfect scenario...

The Design jumbo casino and Kickstarter cards have been popular at my newer small stakes cash game since I have some older neighbors who play. That said, his standard index size is bigger and easier to see than most. My longtime poker friends always hated jumbo index because of how they look when you peek at the cards. That’s why I think the “blackjack” size is a great compromise. I also love to see the beautiful artwork of Desjgn cards and jumbo shrinks that by a lot.

I don't have any 4-colour decks, so I would definitely be in for one or two setups.
I have no real preference for bridge or poker size. Jumbo index would be great, but not a dealbreaker if not.

I'd love to get a nice 4 color setup, so that's what I voted. I don't know how well it will go over live, but I remember always playing with it online.
I don't mind jumbo, and have never seen that black jack sized, so am quite intrigued.

In general, I have been converted to bridge sized over poker sized - so hopefully that is also an offering.
