Demand is soft. Probably could trade for 200 medium to poor quality leaded $1s. Little less desirable I think because the sale is still so recent. Definitely are chips worth more than $1 a piece. And if you are too high strung and upset to admit that, then I’m not sure you’re being honest.

The fact that I listed new mint leased chips at $3.75 a piece is like I slapped mother Theresa… but in reality that’s relatively a fair price for anything new. You’re just mad they were bought basically like winning a small pool lottery with how quickly they sold out.

I understand I bought for $1. But they’re not worth $1. They’re worth somewhere in the range of $1+
I’m not jealous of your chips. There are probably a lot of noobs eager to get some leaded THCs and to them, these probably seemed like a good deal. But to me, inlaid solids are only good for fracs and since I don’t like relables, these aren’t even good for that. I’ll agree that they’re worth more than a buck. But I’d say less than two.

That's a waste of my 30 minutes

I just decided that ima flip like a mo’f*cker now. If you see me buy something and it’s not Crystal Parks, get ready for the muthaf*ckin’ somersaults.

Flippers win. Let’s Make Chips Expensive Somehow.
Somehow??? This shit ain’t already expensive?

In a previous post I suggested we make a pot of tea and just all relax a bit. I read a couple more pages and thought instead of a pot of tea how about just pot? Pass a good one around, or, share some edibles, then I read the rest of the story. Now? I'm pretty sure we need an exorcist.

I think we all arm ourselves with brass pots and garbage can covers and it’s general melee.

When does pcf boil over? Every single NAGB……when a blatant flipper operates….. after a chip room sale…….. so here we are. Fresh off both, at a fierce boil……. Flippers are flipping, nagb producers are chicken shit to talk about what the chips cost the or how many were made but with a simple assumption we know they were under or close to $3 and were flipped the shit out of at 3,4,5x profits and everyone’s praising the seller but you have the mustard chip man attacked by the whole place for 2.5x. I don’t get it. What’s the difference? Wait don’t answer that, the difference is 3,4,5x, maybe if mustard man asked 5x he’d have been fine. And let us not forget that every chip room sale, while we don’t really call it flipping, we call it “the secondary market” emerges. Hahahaha. This is all so stupid. And I’m not sure if spring has anything to do with it but it’s spring.

I don’t get it. What’s the difference?
One difference is pretty obvious. The NAGB grifters introduced hundreds of thousands of new chips to the community - that’s a pretty significant thing, even if they’re bending people over for the privilege of owning them. The mustard man has brought nothing to the community. ZERO.

Yet neither do the TCR rerapers, I mean resellers. Most of who buy up chips with the sole reason being resell at profit. That’s the whole definition of what the mustard threads are about yet everyone’s quiet and throwing up want ads and flinging money at “re-sellers” for TCR and nagb chips, and piling on mustard man. But I get your point.

And I agree with you. Mustard man is no different than any other chip room rapers. Are people hypocrites for shitting on him and not shitting on them? Absolutely. Is he a moron for being a brand new guy, trying to flip for 3-4x just six days after the chiproom sale, on the same day that the whole board was already erupting about flippers? Yup.

individuals had a product made. they are entitled to offer them at what ever price they see fit. irrespective of what the item cost them to produce they are permitted to add a premium for their risk and time contributed to get said product made. its no different to any other product people make and sell. are we going to start calling cpc a flipper because he doesnt offer us chip at his cost? where does this end?

IMO a flipper is someone who purchases something at the expense of someone else with the sole purpose of charging them a premium due to the artificial increase in demand created simply due to the flippers presence. ZERO value added to the eco system.

@RivieraDanny you appear to be a resourceful individual demonstrated many times over. Dont waste your time on these meaningless arguments of what is and what isnt a flipper. Go out and get your own Paulsons made and or buy out a closed casino and sell the chips for what ever price you want. That way you can be the change you seek like you have been before.

I ain't the smartest person (ask my woman, I'm sure she'll spend a day telling you about all the things I'm wrong about). And I don't know all the values of various chips. Been only the last couple years that I've had the time and poor judgement to start collecting chips more than onsie-twosies.

But something I do know is that in my year here, I've determined that there are people that are vendors, harvesters, and so forth. Most don't hide it, and advertise their services. I know that if they have something that I want, it may not be at the best price. This is something they do on more than a rare or very occasional basis. And some have storefronts, employees, and so forth. Makes sense that they'd charge more.

Then there's the collectors/hobbyists. For the most part, I don't see the noted vendors/harvesters picking up here and reselling here the barrels or stacks or small sets that collectors are cycling through. It's really not their gig.

I've seen some chips get resold after a time, sometimes for a bit more, sometimes for a bit less. Often, chips have been sorted/cleaned/murdered/flattened/whatever.

For those here that have no issue with picking up and immediately asking 3x/4x/5x what they paid, would it make sense to have them listed as a "vendor"? Although I personally am not entitled enough that I feel like I need to immediately ask/charge 3x/4x/5x whatever I paid, simply because "derp-derp, I was on the inter-netters, I have to eat, my dog has fleas and MY TIME being on the inter-netters is so valuable, that I will also have to increase my price for every question I have to answer about them as well. Because MY TIME is so much money! The porn sites should be paying ME for being on the inter-netters because MY TIME is so valuable" I -personally- have an issue with rewarding someone being opportunistic and snagging/instantly reselling on a community forum/site primarily geared towards collectors/hobbyists. Site like fleabay? Totally a commerce site, no holds barred, I know that as soon as I go there.

Personal opinions aside, everyone should be able to sell whatever they want, for however much they want. Common sense also says whatever someone paid for a chip a few years back should be irrelevant to whatever it's worth and being sold for now. But I've said it before, and I'll say it again - if it's going to be OK for someone to snag and then immediately relist for 3x/4x the price - then it's got to be OK for anyone else to post/let it be known what they'd picked them up at, with this being a community site and not a sales-only site.

Could also add (in the site software, VERY easy) a "hobbyist" badge that shows up in their info/below their avatar. For people that have no interest in being "opportunistic" and flipping for 2x or more. Easy to add, easy for staff to remove.

LOL, on my old site we also installed a FOK U button, but it was a smaller, more private site than here. Provides a bit more 'how I really feel' than a dislike button
