The chips will be sent at 530 to my buyer - a tracking # will be provided. If this thread is deleted at that time , the money will be sent to Davin. Also my rating will be changed to late payer or something more accurate.

I'm not being part of a "community " that burns people at the stake for a mistake they are trying to correct .
Your call Davin

I'll check back at 530 eastern time
Regards Mike

@davin
When you do what is right and pay me my money that you owe me things can start moving other then that I don't know what else to tell you.

Here we go with more ransom demands. I think a certain Russian fellow said it best …

Even Teddy paid out when he lost!

Dude, GTFO.

Davin, what does he owe you? I'll pitch in a few bucks to cover this scumbag.

@davin

This is ridiculous.

Repay the debt then do damage control after.

He owes $200. I'm in for $20. Meaning I offer to donate $20 to @davin to help make him whole so we can move on. He shouldn't have allowed someone to float a raffle but he was trying to be nice to a fellow chipper and I'd rather step forward and absorb the loss as a community than have him take the entire hit for being a nice guy.

One party assumed risk by extending credit and the other reneged when there was no longer a chance for a return on the yet-to-be made expenditure. There is culpability to be shared on both sides of the issue, though I don't think it's a 50/50 split.

LOL at the above comment!!!

Davin tries to be a good guy helping this scumbag out and he gets part of the blame?!?!?!? That's preposterous...

Yeah at this stage I'd do this all in PM's - otherwise you're kinda giving someone the impression they're off the hook.

I understand what he is trying to say but "culpability" is probably the wrong word. If someone extends credit they are not responsible for a dealing going bad. Lenders are being charitable and assuming the best about the borrower. If the borrower betrays that trust then the culpability is 100% on them.

Maybe what he is trying to say though is that by lending you open the door to deals going sideways. While true, I like to think that assuming the best about others encourages them to act accordingly.

Well, @davin is to blame for extending credit and running the raffle without all payments collected. This situation never happens if Davin insists on payment up front.

But Davin's blame for trusting a forum member is certainly different than @Mike mac's blame for not paying as promised. Davin did go a little overboard at the start of this thread.

Both created the problem, one is at fault for getting us to where we are at today.

Edit: Stand up gesture, @Klobberer, but I hope Mike squares up what he agreed to do. Until he does, the issue isn't over, he's still a scammer and this thread (in it's redacted form) is appropriate.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about maybe scamming someone out of $200, but putting the blame on them. If you guys want to chip in and just give me $200 we can avoid all this nonsense.

I am thinking about cheating on my wife but then blaming her for it. If you could just send me $200 with Paypal F&F that'd be great.

I just edited Klobberers full name off Davin’s last post. Please don’t publish members private information on the site. We will consider requests to edit the thread title and feedback at Devins request if he can’t edit it himself. Members should be able to edit their own posts. The thread will not be deleted.

You are exhibiting classic douchebag behavior. Just GTFO and scam somewhere else. Nobody owes you anything for the mess you created for yourself entirely by youself.

Sorry about that Jeff I didn't realize that his name was in there, just was showing it was paid

I know this is up to @davin and the mods , but I wouldn't be too quick to change the title of, and/or delete, this thread... or adjust the feedback for a couple of reasons:

1. If we're being honest, @Mike mac never actually paid Davin -- @Klobberer paid him what he was owed, but that doesn't change the interactions between Mike and Davin... and if not for Klobberer stepping up (major props, by the way), it appears Davin would still be waiting for his payment.

2. There's an argument to be made to leave it up and unchanged for "the good of the community". Mike's behavior and actions, and those of Davin, speak for themselves during this issue. Shouldn't a new member of the forum be able to see what happened, and reference this, before they enter into any transaction with either one? Wouldn't changing the feedback to positive (or neutral) hide what actually happened here?

Like I said, it's not my decision to make but I'll be curious to see what happens.
