I feel the same as @MacGrad, regarding the feedback. Ultimately the seller got his money, but it was like pulling teeth to get it, and ultimately a third party had to be involved.

It would be contrary to the feedback system for other users to be left with the impression that the buyer handled things properly, or even for the feedback to soften its language about the seller's experience.

The truth is that the buyer was a royal pain in the ass, despite being granted a favor, and folks should know that before doing business with—or, gasp, extending credit to—him. He acted in an outrageous manner from start to finish, and in the end, he still never really lived up to his end of the deal.

Was this the cue to derail?

Chips are bought from me- he paid me and I paid Davin - I just don't have PayPal and so he cut out the middle man . U guys need to get off seriously it's paid - show is over - move along

I know this is up to @davin and the mods , but I wouldn't be too quick to change the title of, and/or delete, this thread... or adjust the feedback for a couple of reasons:

1. If we're being honest, @Mike mac never actually paid Davin -- @Klobberer paid him what he was owed, but that doesn't change the interactions between Mike and Davin... and if not for Klobberer stepping up (major props, by the way), it appears Davin would still be waiting for his payment.

2. There's an argument to be made to leave it up and unchanged for "the good of the community". Mike's behavior and actions, and those of Davin, speak for themselves during this issue. Shouldn't a new member of the forum be able to see what happened, and reference this, before they enter into any transaction with either one? Wouldn't changing the feedback to positive (or neutral) hide what actually happened here?

Like I said, it's not my decision to make but I'll be curious to see what happens.
He bought chips off me and paid Davin - seriously u guys need to just drop it - Thank god I'm not a mentally ill human , this would be way too much - I made good on my debit and you guys just never stop - I just ask that this thread be removed and scammer be taken off of my name / rating - I agree it took long to pay - I'm 99 -% at fault . Can we please just stop the bashing ?

I will say that the feedback is still 6:1 giving Mike Mac a hope of salvaging his reputation. The current bad post is there for a reason. Just need time to extend that rating to something even better.

I'd like to know what I did wrong, I've done only good in this community please justify what I did was wrong that would affect someone dealing with me in future

You do know this thread would never have happened if you simply paid before it got this, like a real adult, or at the least paid up when called out instead of denying and then requiring a third party get involved?

The only problem I had with what you did was the posting of his personal information. I understand why you did it but I do not agree with that stuff being posted. There are a lot of weirdo's on the internet that could use that information to cause physical harm to him or his family.

This thread needs to stay up so I know who not to do business with. All is not good, @davin had to pull teeth and public shame this guy to get his money. That's not anyone I want, or need, to deal with in the future.
One thing I love about this community is how everyone holds others accountable to the point of people wanting to do good deeds for others. We don't need this guy around.

A truly negative experience, like the one @davin had with @Mike mac should stay on the record.
However, now that the debt has been actually paid by the latter member, the word "scammer" is inappropriate and unfair. "Late payer" or "payment after seeking assistance from the community, in public" would be more precise.
Let's stick to the facts and anyway characterize behaviours, not people.

Title changed

I also apologize @Mike mac for posting your full name and address in this thread which has been removed. I just wanted people to be aware if a new account was created that they would notice that address and be alert..

I forgive you for causing stress to my life and I'm happy to move on.

As for anyon that will ever deal with me I can gaurantee you 100% my chips always gets shipped promptly and in excellent care and if I'm buying something my payments are always prompt , I can hav many top chippers vouche for me on this as well

We send hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars to people we’ve never met and don’t really know, in hope and trust that they will send us chips that were promised. This thread, and especially these latest posts, should stay up, IMO, unchanged, as transparency is important, but even more so is the absolute need for all newcomers (even old hands) to be able to judge for themselves who to deal with and or trust.

Unfortunately this type of behavior is not uncommon. Mistake #1 is loaning money to stranger. To me the real issue with this comes from the fact that most people would feel very uncomfortable asking a total stranger to “spot” them cash. Hell I would feel uncomfortable asking close family for money.

So to me the simple act of asking and the ease at which it is asked is the first sign that they don’t intend to pay it back. This thread is a lesson for anyone to learn from.

Please just end this I didn't ask for a "spot" he solicited a loan- I took it and took to long to pay back Please just cancel this thread

So soliciting a loan is waaaaaay different than asking for credit...

*But* you have Rogers?! Isn't that like the AT&T of Canada? You couldn't get texts in the US with Rogers?

It is different. Davin was pushing hard to get the raffle filled and as a last resort he offered a loan.

All debts should be repaid. There is no wiggle room there. However, someone talking you into something and offering a short term loan does create a different dynamic than a bleeding heart asking to borrow money.

I have no empathy for pay day loan places. I now have no empathy for the lender here. Solicit a loan and then go bat-shit when it isn't paid back, even after it was said it was the wrong time? Tsk. Tsk.

I would just like to point out @Mike mac , this was going to a positive spin and got derailed when you started getting pissed and raging out again. Easiest way to stop this chaos, pay him, and just go back to chipping. This post doesn't matter, and you move on. Every time you get pissed, it gets escalated. Just even up and move on.... sometimes you just gotta realize your not helping your own situation and gotta bow out from the riot.

@Mike mac stop digging your hole deeper , your leaving out a lot of messages you sent me, you wanted 8 tickets you said you would pay on a specific date in July, I gave you weeks after to pay and you refused to pay

Just stop your making yourself look worse then it is

By the way @Mike mac I edited the thread since it can't be removed and had the rating edited , I'm done with you and moving on

All of this didn't need to happen if you just payed your debt on the date you requested to pay on, trust me none of this had to go this route

I can't use my data in the USA - I had a work phone - not my own phone .
