Just had this come up, straddler argues he can raise if everyone calls. Others argue you cannot raise your own raise, and he is just making a blind raise.
I don’t know for sure, but I think Full and 1/2 Kills are kinda how stakes get raised in limit games. Following along for a more informed answer, though. For some reason I’m thinking @Rhodeman77 may know?
Once in a while someone will straddle in limit. But all it does it put an extra bet in the pot. When action gets back to the straddler they can still raise, but again the raise is one small bet only. Pretty pointless. Unlike pot limit or no limit where a large bet can be made to scoop up dead money.
A kill is much more effective in raising the stakes of a hand in limit.
Yes, straddler has an option to raise or check if everyone calls. The straddle still count as one of the raises, so cap is still a 4bet or 5bet, depending on where you live. Regional rules may vary.
