Cards Mold/"Tina" Alibaba Ceramics Master Consolidated Info Thread (9 Viewers)

I wonder whether there will be more spinners with the 43mm. I will wait for the first reviews to come in before considering an order. Exciting, nonetheless!

For what's it worth, the 43mm no mold chips I received from Anita stack like bricks and don't have a spinner among the 25 that I received.

Uh oh… new wrinkle to get everyone even more excited.

Tina just emailed me to give me an interesting heads up. If you order 50,000 chips on a custom mold, the mold is free (usually $2,300 fee) or they will rebate it back to you if you reach the quantity in aggregate across several orders.
Yes!

What other molds are there???

What I was referring to above is a completely new and custom mold.

As far as what they have stock are 39mm plain mold, hybrid mold, cards mold, and diamond mold. And 43mm plain mold (textured and non textured) and cards mold.

If anyone is doing a GB please loop me in on it. I need to get art done, but I’m looking to make a custom cash and tourney set. Might end up selling my Aria’s before I even play with them to fund this lol.

IN! IN! ALL THE WAY IIIINNNNNN!!!
I was going to say you’ll probably need permission to recreate or use that mold design but then I remembered where we were buying from…

Well if it can’t be stopped then I would say let’s bring back the Proteges as a ceramic molded chip.

I love the mold, and while the Proteges are great chips, (I finally got a chance recently to play a game where they were used) I'm honestly a bit meh on the design & colors. The logos have a lot of detail to them, and I'm not sure how well they would reproduce on a printed ceramic chip. I suspect not very well. I'd rather take a stab at some new designs and colors as opposed to a tribute set.

Why not just do hat & cane?

Honestly, I think who ever is going to end up doing their own mold for a large group buy will probably do it out of their own personal desire for a specific mold. And I doubt they are going to take much input. At least from those I know who have been playing footsie with the idea for the last year that is the sense I got. Or it was for an existing mold that they loved, but they got the proper consent. And I hope and believe they will do it out of the creative desire to try something new and improve on all of the existing molds out there. Seems like a waste to me to rehash an existing mold, even if there weren't any ethical or legal concerns. But that's just me.

Cigar-n-Snifter is a great mold, but reproducing it in ceramic won't make for a great chip. The appeal of that mold (IMHO) isn't in the logo but in the total package; the texture, the feel, the inlay (not decal), all of which means clay - not ceramic.

If someone (cough, cough) is making a new mold for Tina ceramics then I hope someone (cough, cough) creates something with a new design concept. Preferably one that I like, but I'm not holding my breath. :)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how well the 43mm cards/plain mold chips fit in a 1000 chip (or any) versa case?

I don't believe the 43mm would fit in a normal chip case. They do fit in the 43mm racks that I use for my Sunfly Hybrid 43mm Mountain Top chips. I think they're Paulson racks. They have :hearts:.:clubs::diamonds::spades: embossed on the underside of the rack.
