Cards Mold/"Tina" Alibaba Ceramics Master Consolidated Info Thread (15 Viewers)

Those would make good bounties, re-buys or seating buttons. I'd be down for some. I like different shapes for more differentiation. Circles for chips, rectangles for plaques, triangles for all in and hexagon for bounties/re-buys/seating. Looking for replica/fake/prop bullets for bounties/re-buys also. Plaques can be ovals to I guess.

For those interested in current direct order pricing via air, I recently placed a direct order for 2900 chips in 39mm from Tina. Chips cost $0.28 each, and air shipping was $338 to Virginia for an order total of $1150. That is about $0.40 per chip base price delivered.

I asked about a smaller order of 1300 chips and that drove the shipping price up - roughly about $0.45 total per chip at that quantity.

The currency conversion added something like $20 to that, and I assume there may also be a customs charge (shipped via DHL). Chips took a bit over a week to print and ship out. They just shipped so I don't have an estimate on delivery yet, but from thread above it looks like I may have them within 3 weeks of ordering.

Also, if you are using artwork from someone here - take the time to track down the artist and pay their small fee for the art. We need to support the artists.

Thanks for those details. I may do the same with a single smallish order. I was about to PM you to see if you wanted to combine orders. You and I are using the same artist.

I'd be in for a GB, but I can't manage it myself.

Thoughts and opinions if Tina could pull off a design similar to this one with the colors she has? Im not finished with the inlay yet, just in the early stages. What do you guys think of my spot progression? 5c, 25c, $1, $5, $20, $100.

Black chip appears to be emulating the IG secondary hundo. Colors like arc yellow, blaze orange and the CPC dayglow colors are pretty tough to duplicate exactly. But you can get reasonably close. I tried to hit some of the dayglows in my custom Texas Flood set, and I'm happy with the results. @timinater did my design work so he might be able to tell you how he got these colors if you see anything here that you like.

I like your color combos. ....especially the 500 and 2000.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I was on team T2000 when I designed the set, but I have yet to play a tournament using them. I will someday.

Funny thing about the T500 - it's really dark, so when I received the chips, I was afraid of dirty stacks with the T100. So I had another one made that flipped the two shades of purple.

Very cool.

Dirty stacks WOULD be a concern there, you're right. I like that darker shade of purple enough though, to where if it was me, I'd've lightened the 100 instead to gray.

Conversely, the T100 looks good as-is also. Thus the only TRUE solution is to get an additional set; so you'd have one with the dark 500 and a lighter 100, and then one with the black 100 and your lighter 500 !! :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

What's really interesting is how lighting and reflection can change the colors in chip photos. At first, I thought the chip in the top left was different than all the others in that top row.

Yeah, too much reflection from my desk lamp. I think the one on the left is the only one tilted away from the lamp, therefore the only one that accurately represents the true colors of the chips. Same with the lower row.

For those interested in current direct order pricing via air...
Follow up on my earlier post on 'Air' shipped orders. My first order arrived 13 days (< 2 weeks) after I paid for the order. A second order I placed took 19 days, though to be fair it shipped in just over a week and spent the rest of the time with the shipper.

***This is a thread of consolidated information to aide your own group buys of these chips***
This is not an order interest thread, which can be found here. The original group buy thread has extensive information here. There is a lot of value in doing smaller group buys to reach value at around 10,000 chips per group. This post has consolidated info to help you withcthat.
please @ me to update this info

***All info below pertains to the "Tina" vendor only***

Minimum per design/denom:

25 chips (chips can be ordered in any quantity above 25 chips. They do not need to be multiples of 25).

Cost:

I recommend you assume a little variability in the pricing. Honestly it seems a little on fly. But it also seems it has gone up a couple pennies since GB1. As of 11/23/20 I had a rough quote of:

39mm cards mold:
$0.28 at > 10,000
$0.30 at > 2,000-5,000
$0.40 at > 500-1,000

43mm
$0.28 per chip at > 1,000

*quantities do not apply across sizes/molds

Shipping:

Approx. $0.025/per chip by weight shipped by boat when ordering more than 10,000 chips.

Colors:

Pantone colors. May be safe by using CMYK. 33 sets of color sample wheels are floating around.

Designs:

You are not limited by any design characteristics. Cards mold inner inlay area is 25mm.

Designers:

@timinater
@Quicksilver-75
@p5woody
@JeepologyOffroad

Contact info:

I am happy to answer questions and provide contact info via PM. But people should ask questions here and group up before peppering Tina & Co. with questions.

* Thanks again a million times over to @SeanGecko for all of the work he has put into this and who deserves all the credit.
Both Bosco files have the same edges…does anyone have the “semi custom” file edge file? Btw…these ai files are outrageously generous. Must have taken a lot of work.
