I know this is well down the tracks to derailment, but regardless of the fact this deal Came together in the end I’d be very wary doing business with said individual due to the other history here.

These threads are important imo. I have very little feedback here, but I consider it important based on my experience in other forums.

I'm confused what's wrong with not being leaded?
You must get yourself a single or more, of some older leaded Paulson and then compare with some of the newer chips you are finding today. They are heavier, feel better (IMHO), and make an undeniably better sound. The thud of throwing a $30 bet into a pot using leaded $5 Paulson's is a drug! Ye be warned....

I'm no expert. I'm a total chip idiot, but I do have a couple leaded sets to my name, and I LOVE them. Once you feel, hear, and experience these differences, you will like them. Well, maybe not, but leaded chips have their own subculture-like following. I think it's one of the things I love about TRK as well. With all that nostalgia, there are these leaded clay based compounds that you can still buy, that are no longer in production. Makes it rare and cool at the same time.

The user BGInga is the knowledge source for this too. He has intimate knowledge of when they started to scale back the amount of lead in their chips. They did not just go from lead to non-leaded in one move. As I understand it, use of lead was gradually phased out as they were directed or perhaps forced by governing agencies regarding the use of lead.

Posting dibs, IMO, means exactly nothing if it isn’t followed up with a PM right away

Love react after this sentence

Every group and forum I have been a part of, the "dibs" posts are meaningless. You want it, you pm the seller. Nothing is final until money sent, and first to move the cash gets the goods.

Right? There is no obligation to hold goods until money actually changes hands. "Dibs" should always be backed up by PM or it doesn't matter.

PM then post...Post then PM. The point I think is that once you’ve committed, you’ve committed. You didn’t commit to a period of time to then actually consider the purchase and then change your mind? You committed by committing! Otherwise call dibs and PM on EVERYTHING!!

Should change the name of this thread to... Wary Poppins!

Edit: had to sing this to myself several times to make sure it works. If ever anyone asks me how I spent my covid Christmas...
I don't think it works. I appreciate the effort, but I can't give it a "like" because I think you have one extra syllable. If the word was misanthrop, it would work perfectly, I think.
Merry Christmas!

In the interest of fairness -- and ultimately the best interest of the chipping community -- all 'dibs' or 'first-come-frst-served' sales should be outlawed. Much better ways to skin that cat.

I appreciate the comment Dave, and I think I understand the thoughts behind it, but I disagree. I think DIBS are stupid. But first come first served is how I like to do business. As a buyer, I don't want to be put into a lottery every time I want to buy something. Do I check this site 30 times a day, in hopes of being that first guy? Yup. And I think that effort is worth something.
As a seller, I'm not interested in conducting a lottery every time I want to sell something. First guy (who's not suspect) to reply to my classified has just saved me time.

I told you that I can't splitted the set but I offer you a better price which you accepted and said you will make the payment.
Yes and then I changed my mind again . Is that not allowed ?

EDIT: Oh, and congrats. You made #3 on the ignore list. You, a pedo and a douchebag.

You’re spot on. Should be 14 syllables and I’ve done 15. I’ve just amended it so it definitely works now  :ROFLMAO:

Golf cancelled as we’re being battered by a storm so I’ve now added a second verse. I must be really bored  :ROFLMAO:
