It would be wonderful if CPC could consider exploring chip colors that are more reminiscent of Paulson's offerings. Brighter yellows, reds, pinks, oranges, and greens etx would really enhance the overall appeal imo. Additionally, I feel that a redesign of the ink could bring a new fresh line of customers, including me.


Maybe crack open a glow stick and throw it in there?

I'm a bit disappointed that the texas card rooms went for the cheaper, no security, ceramics instead of CPCs on the Ewing mold. I'm pretty sure they could've held chip design competitions for free designs.

It’s not too late, I don’t believe the Ewing mold was to be allowed, but it is now

If I was a TX card room owner I would've had 100% cpc sets !

IMHO the chips at Polk's/Owen's Lodge in Round Rock TX, are absolutely fugly.

This is the reality in my experience. CPC chips are great, but their yellows (and colour selection in general) can’t hold a candle to Pauslon‘s.

I love CPCs and TRKs specific retro colors, but no one can touch the Paulson palette as far as number and depth of color.

I will say my Paulson canaries are dirty worn chips. Your example is probably more true/accurate. Helpful to see; thanks for sharing the new minty chip comparison.

In my most recent set from them, the closest I got to yellow was DG arc... which is more orange IMHO. The brass flakes in CPC canary make the rolling edge look dingy.

That's exactly what I did for my last CPC set - went with Arc Yellow $5s.

Never a fan of those but that’s absolutely what he needed. More premade designs (something brighter imho).

And a far more user friendly design tool.

Wish I had the capital to buy CPC as a labor of love project and just break even every year with the goal of manufacturing chips at just under $1 per chip.

I think all of us wish we could swoop in, buy CPC and keep it going. The realities of actually doing that -- known only to David and a couple of other people -- are what give us pause.

Right now, even as I'm reeling from the news, I'm thankful for all that David and his predecessors at the old ASM and the Burt Company before them have done.

I'm wishing this will somehow work out and a new owner will want to keep CPC going.

It would be nice if someone bought CPC and infused some BR into it. Have more stock chips with cool designs. Rounders chips are ok, but the movie is so old now. And the other stock chips aren’t jaw dropping. IMHO
